Can somebody explain Brewmaster's new Infused Brew to me?

Like I understand what it does, but 30% feels really low, and while it is used by 99.2% of Monks in the top 100, I’ve never felt weaker.

I did an 8, whereas with all of my other tanks (I play all 6 Tank Specs actively enough to have them all at over 700ilvl, with my main being 709 and my second one being 704, my monk is 701) I did an easily timed 10, and I felt more than weak, it was quite horrendous.

I mained monk in Shadowlands and in 11.1, and now with the Infused Brew I understand why it’s strong cause 16s makes it be useful longer, but damn I feel like I can get blown up

What specifically is your question? Why are people using infused brew at the high end when it doesn’t feel good to use at the low end?

Brew scales with content better than most tanks. You are a bigger threat to things that ate a threat to you.

The new brew acts similar to ignore pain. It reduces damage taken by 30% with a cap of whatever the shield is… it does exactly what the tooltip says it does.

Also if you feel weaker than 11.1 on brew you are doing something wrong. Gear, talents… something. Brew is significantly more sustainable now

Celestial Infusion and Celestial Brew both absorb the same total amount of damage, but since Infusion only stops 30% per hit and has double the duration, incoming damage is smoothed out far more.

Not really, but after years of playing my Brewmaster and already feeling invincible I saw everywhere that’s even more the case with that one, but I feel like I take so much more damage now than I did before and it blows my mind how people play it or play around it to be “invincible”

Skill issue.

Why do you even answer?

I’m asking for help on understanding what people do with it since I seem to have trouble using it

This isn’t helping, and if you got nothing else better to tell me please move along.

Literally already told you why infusion is generally better.

Yeah great you told me it smooths things out over a longer period like I didn’t know.

I’m saying I have trouble with my health in that time since it’s just 30% what are other monks generally doing to be almost invincible as most sites says

Literally zero information provided to analyze and tell you what you’re doing wrong.

Again, I’m looking to know generally what other brewmasters do during their Infused Brew, there ain’t no need for what I do wrong, I don’t die I just feel like my health stays quite low and something’s not right

They press blackout kick and then tiger palm.

What’s up with you? What’s the reason for being condescending to someone asking for help?

Grow up, jesus

There’s zero rotational difference between running celestial brew vs celestial infusion. Play better.

You really suck as a person man. “Just play better” what is this

Stop replying with condescending stuff please, there’s literally no point in this. No matter if what you say is true or not, there’s ways to say it and having some human decency really.

There are guides out there and available on wowhead/peak of serenity that go over brewmaster’s rotation and talent selection to help you play better.

post log in peak to get log review to see whats oging on, but frnakly if you feel weaker with new brew infusion then stick with the old version. it tends to generate more healing the higher content you do. i wish i could help more but i dont know brew beyond what i heard

Celestial infusion is basically a 30% reduced damage taken for as long as the shield lasts, and if you’re losing hp slower then that’s easier to heal than losing hp fast.

Celestial brew is basically a 100% reduced damage taken for as long as the shield lasts, but that also typically mean that the shield only last 1 second, letting you survive one tankbuster with ease.

With celestial infusion you’ll still easily survive tankbusters, but you’ll have a lot of juice left in your shield after that tankbuster has landed. It allows you to take reduced damage for a prolonged period of time. If you’re feeling squishier then you’re likely doing something wrong, maybe not using purifying brew when you should, or maybe you’ve swapped hero tree to shadowpan and aren’t used to how it plays yet.

B-cruisr is the resident troll in the monk forums. They are actually sort of charming in a weird way once you get used to them.

Not trolling, simply telling the guy he’s playing wrong in as blunt a way as possible.
