Can nightborne join the alliance?

Tyrande asked Thalyssra a simple question: how do we know you’re not gonna do what Highborne have always done?
She responds by doing what Highborne have always done.

Gotta say: while I have been critical of Night Elf models in other forum posts, at least they’re not the train wreck that is goblins.

Male or female, the goblin model is just sad.

Generally that’s what happens when them and Worgen are the only ones that didn’t get the makeover everyone else did.

Soon ™ tho.

Your new models are gorgeous, btw. I’m sorry you have to wait until 8.2.5, but it’s something worth waiting for, at least.

For something OTHER members of their race did, but not themselves?

I’m surprised Tyrande didn’t ask the same question to Velen as well then, considering the Draenei are actually Eredar.

They WERE asked that very question. Try playing the Draenei starting area.

Liadrin lied to you.

Moral of the story: Never trust a Blood Elf.

And yet were still allowed to join, but the Nightborne weren’t?

“The Alliance feels too cloistered off. My people will never endure such stagnation again.” - Thalyssra

At least in the Horde, the Elves have an equal standing and worth. You think the Horde would allow Silvermoon to get sacked and not lift a finger? Hah.

Because they actually tried, and proved themselves? While Thalyssra responded to the question by flipping us off and then participating in a prison break.

Lore wise it would of made more sense for the large chunk of them to remain neutral with some breaking off to join the horde or alliance.

Should of had a starting zone like pandas.

Their was a clear division between the NE and NB, one that cant be undone. NB embrace their darkness and their failures only to rise again. They fit with the HORDE. Who wants to play the holier then thou alliance anyway. Embrace the dark…

Oh, so Thalyssra had some self-respect for herself and her race and refused to beg when she already had another race just as willing to ally with the Nightborne, while Velen didn’t. Got it.

See, I unlocked Nightborne on my old, old Horde alt the other day, and when you meet Thalyssra to begin the unlock scenario, she conjures up a fancy lil image of Tyrande asking her if she’s gonna pull an Azshara or Elisande on her.
Lady Liardrin then proceeds to accuse the night elves of “sleeping in dens” and “hiding in trees” whilst her people saved the world. She is saying this to people who were under a magic bubble for 10000 years. This woman is the diplomat the Horde sends to gain new allies? To see such a gaffe like that just ignored was really sad lol.

Equal standing is debatable. I do think you’re right that the Horde would retaliate for Silvermoon, though.

Okay lol

(I’m mostly joking though, I’m personally happy Nightborne are Horde, because I can’t take any of their other mages seriously)

The only good elf is a night elf. Unless you’re Garithos.

I wasn’t aware Silvermoon or Suramar turned into cities of mud-huts right after joining the Horde.

(I don’t really care either way either. Night elf male casting animations pretty much guarantee I’ll never want to play either race, although the crying from Alliance players for months afterward was pretty hilarious. Thank god Zandalari doesn’t suffer from spellcasting induced migranes too.)

If you’ve gone to Silvermoon recently, then you’ll see a lot of Shal’dorei walking around, which suggests that most are in that city. Also, Silvermoon is probably the 2nd best looking city within the game next to Suremar, and once it gets upgraded, then it’ll be the best looking city.

Remember too, that the quintessential diplomat that is Tyrande closed the diplomatic doors with the Shal’dorei due to her ctions.

You’ve spelled Sin’dorei incorrectly.

Begone, derivative, mana-addled elf.
