If vulpera can be monks ( an option not given to their parent race- goblins), then mechagnomes should get the same treatment.
I think it’s such a waste of an awesome rare opportunity to do otherwise. A group so passionate about increasing their power that they chop off limbs would surely seek to emulate their new allies…
Id be happy to see druid, shaman or pally as part of their ranks.
Druid: mechanical animal forms:
- travel: mechanical chicken
- cat: mechanocat or wolf
- bear: mechanobear
- moonkin: full on robot form or Holographic version of glyph of stars
Shaman: hyper gigawatt totems with electricity or sparks. H20 megacannon for resto, megawatt gauntlets for elemental, etc.
Paladin: using Holographic tech for shields/bubble, etc. Not hard to see how tech could be used similarly.
Also they should get access to steel skin to become true mechanical gnomes like blingtron and clockwork. And they should get access to a permanent rocket pack mount.

Shamans make no sense. The elements abandoned mechagon because of all the experiments gnomes did. They do not want to associate with mechagnomes.
I saw someone else mention this but I dont remember ever reading anything about it in the quests or lore or anything, can you point me to where this lore element is mentioned?
Still waiting on LF Monk for T’paartos style play.

Where was the attitude?
I was just saying I wanted the OP to tell us what they meant and where they saw it.
No need to jump down MY throat.
Play a paladin, talk to the Prince about the benefits of Mechanization.

I think the Alliance has generally gotten the short end of the stick in the allied race department, but the disparity between mechagnomes and vulpera is worse than it is for any other pair of allied races.
I was planning on making a mechagnome because I thought for sure the developers would realize just how unwanted they are, do the reasonable thing, and give them a new class. They need something to be worth unlocking.

Yeah, junker Gnomes are actually sorta junk.

Blizz should have just given the mechagnomes tinkers.

That’d involve a new class altogether and imagine those balancing nightmares.

Mechagnomes have a broken “i don’t die racial” that literally is thrice as likely to save you as cheat death with a quarter of the cooldown. this stuff is amazing for both PVP and surviving key boss mechanics that kill a normal character of that class. plus mechagnome rogues and mages have not 1 but 2 “get out of death free cards.” i wouldn’t take a “get out of death free card” too lightly because they are an extremely rare and limited resource in tabletop and forum roleplays that game designers and forum moderators obsess over.

I would say Shaman fits them more then a class like warlock. But they really only look good in cloth to cover the diapers.

Omg yes. Or like a mech form of moonkin with Iron Giant eyes xD or Gir Eyes from invader Zim.

Shamans would be great for the mail kilts too!

I agree. And shooting lava and lightning with robotic hands. If the mechagnomes were clever they would have laser arms! Imagine if there spellcasting was through a hand gun.

I figure if regular gnomes can be priests because they have harnessed the light through science and not faith, then the same logic can apply here: they are harnessing the elements through science.
