Can LFR be personal loot? (And do we need LFR?)

  1. It’s kinda’ annoying to have group rolls for LFR, like maybe we just do personal loot for LFR.
  2. Also, do we need Story Mode, LFR, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic? It’s a little obnoxious, maybe we just cut it to where “normal” is queue-able, Heroic is the standard raid difficulty, and Mythic is well, Mythic!
  3. Also, could we just have like at the start of the raid the ability to set loot distribution types, I think it should default to personal loot with the option to toggle master looter, etc. Like we’re using RCLoot Council to Master Loot anyways, idk. I just feel like this whole thing could be simplified.

I wouldn’t mind if story mode replaced LFR, but it would have to cover all of the fights instead of just the final one. My guess is that it would take a lot more work to program the AI for all the fights though, which may be why they don’t do it.

I personally always disliked personal loot when it came to LFR though. I always felt I got gear handed to me that I never wanted and had zero control on rolling for gear that I did want. With personal loot, everyone essentially rolled “need” and then winners were picked and those winners got random loot from the table. Even if it means I got more loot overall, vendoring stuff for a few gold didn’t feel as good as actually being able to roll on things, at least to me.

I am a much bigger fan of roll loot in LFR versus personal loot.

With Rolling, I can purchase almost any item off any player after a certain amount of time. When I am chasing tier, offset pieces, and weapons.

It beats never having the option to obtain said items if it was personal loot. If I have to take plate characters through 3 or 4 times a week for a couple months.

A little in game cheddah and it saves me months of runs.
