I thought rogues thrived on being invisible.
Or we can adopt the position “banning slurs in a video game is actually more effective than a saying that promotes tolerance of bullying and slurs.”
Like, what most video games already do. Thus making in a non-issue.
It’s also a word that means those large cardboard boxes items are stored in that are open on the top. Where I worked there was a sign that said “Be careful, items in gaylord have value.”
I was wondering if it was a place where the valuable discarded electronics went, but then I found out that was the name of the large cardboard boxes, like the ones bulk sacks of potatoes are in at the grocery store.
As others have mentioned, ‘Gaylord’ is a legit name.
Would also make a helluva title.
You’re in for a long war
Let’s say Cheese is an offense slur, it gets banned ok they’ll name their character Kheese it’s not the same word but it’ll have the same effect on anyone sensitive enough to be bothered by it. Do we ban that too? What about the next word they come up with and the next and the next? It’s not like they are going to stop
Or we can adopt the position “banning slurs in a video game is actually more effective”
I agree. However, if the OP isn’t just trolling and is gay themselves, than their usage of the word gay is not really a slur. That’s a big if the OP isn’t trolling. The sticks and stones saying and banning can work together.
than a saying that promotes tolerance of bullying and slurs.”
This isn’t really true.
Gaylord used to be the number 1 insult when I was single digits years old When the game Pitfall came out in 94 we used to say that people were Pitfall because we got in trouble for saying pitiful lol good times.
I mean honestly if you can come up with a character name with those 3 consecutive letters in it that doesn’t make it completely obvious.
I mean Iamgay probably won’t fly but something like Gaylon probably would
Just searched and saw there are 110 WoW characters named “Gay.”
You’re welcome.
no it’s against ToS and when reported they will force you to name change and i think there will be a 3hour ban as well for that toon idk if for your account in general.
i’ve gotten banned for namess MANY… times. way too many to count.
You’re in for a long war
Let’s say Cheese is an offense slur
stopped reading, lol
Ok then lol
unless youre here to actually find a partner it’s kinda weird no?
this aint tinder or w/e. dont think anybody cares to know about your sexuality.
i think it opens the door for big boy lawsuits…
Damn it where’s Khadgay when you need . . . them?
OP, even though you are a part of the LGBTQ+ community and feel entitled to put the word ‘gay’ in your name, not all members of the LGBTQ+ community would be comfortable with that, and many in the community would probably find it offensive.
So yeah I would recommend not doing it. If you do someone will probably report it.
You said lgbtqia+ dont have the right to be who we are
No, Breakbeat said “You don’t have the right to be in every PLACE”.
No one has THAT right. You don’t get to interject yourself into EVERYTHING just because of some label.
I think you’re just looking for a fight in everything. You might want to back up a few steps and check yourself.
no it’s against ToS
I looked and didn’t see anything that would suggest that

Names are subject to the same rules established above. Any name the player has the ability to customize—such as player names, BattleTags, and guild names—must be appropriate and inoffensive. Any name that violates our standards or disrupts the community will be changed, and additional limitations may be placed on the offending account per our discretion.
Take note that acceptable names are determined by player reports and Blizzard’s decision, and role-playing servers may have distinct standards for using game-appropriate names.

Would make me think that if enough people report your name you might get a free name change
LGBTQIA+
$%^& me man, this thing just keeps getting longer and longer…
What about naming your tailor “Gayapparel”?
Then you can appease both sides: tell the Xtians its related to Xmas, and tell people from California that you only craft cowboy chaps.
