actually, you just didn’t quite grasp what I was saying. had the same amount of time for study and school…8am to 4pm is 8hrs. 16 more hours to work with friend.
6hrs to sleep and 2hrs to study and you have 8hrs of free time lol
True, getting 4 hours of sleep or less every night may be detrimental to my health but I don’t really care.
6hrs sleep tho.
even with a good 4hr session a night, nothing going to be negative to ur schooling and getting r14 is possible doing it that way
4hrs of bging i meant
Yeah I’ll probably aim for that instead. Also I heard the grind for rank 10 isn’t as time consuming so if I aim for that I will most likely be able to reach r10
there is no point to even strive for it beginning with a defeatist attitude friend. 24hrs in a day, 6hrs to sleep, 8hrs for school and travel, 4hrs good bging session,2hrs study and however many hours left to party
or choose to waste half ur day like that other fella does.
No, you will not.
I got Grand Martial back in the day in college. Want to know what it entailed?

Me and a roommate swapped. When I had to go to school, I pvp’d. Vice Versa. We had to pvp CONSTANTLY, especially the last month. My friend almost didn’t graduate college.

You will be competing with account sharers, retired people, people who can play at their job all day, and absolute no-lifers. Normal people do not do this.

It requires little skill. Get a group of fairly geared people, you’ll stomp most games. All it is, is time investment.
If you want to have fun, don’t ever go for Grand Martial. If you want to enjoy the game, do anything else.
Rank 14 requires an unhealthy amount of time spent grinding honor simply because others will do it if you don’t.
I completely grasp what you’re saying. You’re encouraging a high school student to sacrifice time needed for other responsibilities to no-life a game. Also, different people need different amounts of sleep. Just because 6 hours is fine for you doesn’t mean it’s fine for him. I sleep about 4 hours a night but I wouldn’t encourage a teenager to do it. Lack of sleep can be detrimental to a child’s growth.
@OP if you need to convince your parents that you’re doing something productive so that they don’t catch you gaming, that should be the first sign that it’s not the smartest thing to do. Your parents are looking out for you. You won’t find the same genuine support on this forum. Also, lying to your parents about it will simply end up with them not trusting you. Source: I did the same thing in vanilla. Be smart, don’t be a dingus like Phinders. You really want to be the guy drunk-posting on these forums in 15 years?
Short answer: no
you are not grasping at all.
Well, I was raiding 6 nights a week, general manager of a business and was within a week or two of 14, is I guess it COULD be done. My wife threatened to divorce me if I didn’t immediately quit so I did, like an idiot…
I suspect it’ll take an even heavier grind this time around though than back then. I’m thinking there’s a lot more interest in those old school BG’s. Lot’s of people coming back to focus on those ranks.
Unless you are unemployed or some liberal art degree student who studies 10 years minimum being in high school is actually a phase in your life where you have some time to spare compared to any working adult.
Im not saying you should do it or stop focusing on your studies but thinking you can do r14 and keeping a social life/keeping up well in school is most likely unrealistic unless you are some genius who gets everything the first time they hear it. r14 is about 10-12 hours pvping straight daily for 2-3 months, depending on standing and wether people do not screw up the honor standing meta.
So if you go to school 6-7 hours a day you have around 10 hours to play wow daily. If you have to skip an hour here or there for IRL stuff (cause its happening for sure) you have to make good on that time during weekends.
Just be aware that there are people playing this game who have more time than you and that r14 grind is really burning you out. As said its doable, just expect to have a significant drop off in irl social interactions and good grades.
18hrs and 6hrs sleep is good.
I would say just play for fun
I am “grasping”, you’re just a moron.
Okay, thanks for the insight. The only reason I considered grinding for r14 was because raiding was always very stale for me in any game, and pvp was the next main thing to do. I will still most likely attempt to get to at least rank 10 but I don’t think I will even consider grinding for r14 after hearing all of this. Another thing to consider was that servers were most likely less populated back then, so there was less competition, but now there are way more people in even less servers. I play on Sulfuras, which is a medium-high pop server meaning I’ll have a lot of competition
