Changed their name. Thatâs not the same as changing their race. When the British Colonists stated calling themselves Americans it did not change their race.
Theyâre infected, tainted, weak willed, and traitors.
Nothing in them is High Elf any longer.

By definition you are wrong. A traitor is someone who goes against his or her own people. If they were no longer High Elves then they wouldnât be traitors to High Elves.
Anyway you ignored what Wowpedia said. It said they changed their name to Blood Elves, not their race.

You acknowledge Death Knight Blood elves as âHigh Elvesâ because they died as âHigh Elvesâ but you wonât acknowledge Sylvanas who also died as a âHigh Elfâ purely because she calls herself and the group of undead she is with the Forsaken because that is in essence what they are. EDIT: And also Blood elves didnât stop being âHigh elvesâ they merely changed their name to remember the deaths of their people, family and friends by the hands of the Scourge. The blood that was senselessly spilled.
