At 60 you can DW fury prot tank it if you’re geared and/or the healer is geared, but I wouldn’t recommend it for your typical mid 50s or fresh 60s groups. I did a live strat with 3 warriors once and we just nuked everything because we were all in MC/BWL gear and just rolled the place, but warriors aren’t generally DW or 2H tanking pug dungeons.
I did find that 2H tanking with a sword/board macro up until ZF worked wonders for maintaining threat and mobs weren’t scary enough yet, but by ZF I realized it was time to sword/board it most of the time. At most I’d charge in, WW, and then go D stance with sword/board because otherwise I got clobbered.
