No, we don’t. And besides…we have those. /points toward Tyrande.
Anduin is decent and kind. He is a holy paladin (I think he might actually be a priest, come to think), and his power lies in that direction. He’s not a berserker rage leader, and that’s fine.
I don’t get all the Anduin whining that goes on with these forums. Anduin is the King of Stormwind, and he breaks out diplomacy when that’s the way to save Alliance lives. He doesn’t use his people as a meat shield like Garrosh or make eternal life decisions for them like Sylvanas.
If you want a bloodthirsty psycho…the red team is right over there.
/looks confused.
/glances over at the Blood Elves
/looks back at OP
/gestures impatiently at the gorgeous elves
Remember the suicide squad he assembled to cover for the attack on Dazar’alor? Remember how he invalidated their sacrifice because he felt bad about pushing the advantage?
free writing for blizz: have quest where the player gets to assassinate Shaw (Anduin’s protector) and then depose Anduin and the monarchy and establish a Republic. Anduin can escape (dead or alive) to Calia’s group up north. And the Republic can get on with aggressively deporting the Orcs back to Outland.
If Anduin dies, how will the writers be able to simultaneously fantasize about a powerful, young, blonde male, and self insert themselves into the lore?
Who is Anduin? He’s a young, blonde male, literally the definition of a Twink. He’s also very passive, in a lot of ways feminine and probably has dad issues. Who’s his mentor? An older more aggressive male, with substantial power and influence.
Who ever story pitched Anduin was either a giant troll or a giant perv.
Preach. Varian at least got to have a heroic death with a defiant final line. Vol’jin got stabbed by random felguard #376, died slowly by poison and then to add insult to injury was tricked by an evil loa into making a genocidal undead elf his successor >__<
I’m pretty sure it’s a meme… one that goes way back to Vanilla when Blizzard has a typo in Thrall’s title and he was labeled as Thrall Warchef of the Horde.
Whoever wrote the attack on Dazar’alor should be fired, and I usually don’t say things like this. It’s so completely illogical from start to finish, that I only presume that a five-year-old wrote this thing.
Even if the designers went to the story team and told them, “Yo we want Dazar’alor as a raid. Write something.” You should have been able to come up with something better than whatever the hell we got ingame.
I thought that was a good thing? Good lord people whine and complain all the time the moment someone’s not a damn warmonger… warmongers are BORING. Please stop trying to turn every leader into one.
Anduin is boring because he was given the mantle of leadership without deserving it, and after everything he and the Alliance have experienced he still tries to avoid fighting when doing so would benefit Alliance.
He’s annoying, he’s never done anything warranting being the leader of the Alliance (unlike Varian), and we want him gone.
