I purchased a faction change and I’m getting the error: this service cannot be used on a character that owns a house or a neighborhood.
The character in question does not own any house. in fact I deleted all my houses and I still can’t do it.
I am the guild master on a different character (same account) and owner of a charter (same account, different character). But I can’t do anything about these.
Please why can’t I faction change?

Hi Biscuit!
I am experiencing the same exact issue! I am getting the notice “This service cannot be used on a character that owns a House or a Neighborhood”.
I did similar things, such as:
- Relinquished my property
- Left my guilds and communities
- Kicked my character out of the Neighborhood I was in (I had founded the Neighborhood and transferred ownership to a trusted friend)
- Made sure none of my alts owned a home or neighborhood
Yet I am still getting the same issue.
I have had a 5-ticket long conversation with GMs and it’s essentially boiled down to for me that the, and I quote this:
" we couldn’t identify any issues on our end that would prevent you from using a character service on a character that is no longer a house/neighborhood owner, so we’re unable to manually initiate the service on our end or provide troubleshooting steps beyond the ones you already tried.
In this case, please wait and try again later just in case there are any temporary issues that me be affecting this change.
If the issue still persists and you’d prefer to get a refund for this order, please get back to us so we can look into a refund for you."
I have gone ahead and proceeded with trying to get a refund but you are not the only one with this issue and I’m incredibly upset over this! It’s been a couple of days now for me and is just disappointing.
Hope that you’ve had some updates!

You probably want to start a thread on the Bug Report forum, though it would probably be worth trying a full UI reset.
