There is a new addon that seeks to resuscitate World PvP and RP-PvP, as it has been neglected by blizzard for so long that players have begun to take matters into their own hands:

Introducing Overlord!

Overlord is an addon specifically designed for World PvP and RP-PvP; it transforms the War Mode experience by adding objectives to be captured in old-world zones!

Currently supporting BFA-era Arathi Highlands and Gilneas, Overlord features:

  • 6 to 10 neutral capture points per zone
  • 2 Fortresses per zone, 1 for Alliance and 1 for Horde
  • 3 Mines, used to gather resources to modify capture time in favor of your faction or against your enemy
  • A sleek interface that displays objectives, resources, and capture status, as well as Server Shard ID info to help you determine whether you and other combatants are on the same phase
  • A leaderboard to track captures, kills, and faction victories
  • Weekly campaigns with a tug-of-war style progress percentage bar, that reset every Wednesday morning!

With regular updates, growing and responsive in-game and discord communities, and a development roadmap for summer 2026 that includes Loch Modan and the Barrens as the next planned warfronts, Overlord is making big moves to become the addon that brings PvP back to the world!

It’s amazing, I’ve been capping nodes and got some skirmishes from it. When you contest an area or start gaining gold from a mine, IT ALERTS EVERYONE with the addon :dagger: :eye: :mouth: :eye:

Awesome addon, lots of action out there! Horde needs a bit of a bump though. Any Horde RPPvP or WPvP guilds should head to Loch Modan and defile the Dwarven lands!

This is sick. I’ve been pushing all my friends I know of to go do it - I’m not geared enough on my mains yet, sadly, so I just get sort of stomped in a 1v1, but hopefully I’ll be able to pop in with some groups soon!
