Happy Birthday! What a nice present for Blizzard to arrange for you!

As long as I’m not unknowingly waiting on one of your books to come out I totally support this behavior. :grinning:

They put a lot of work into arranging this birthday present. I’ll do my best to give everyone I see my Birthday Buffs.

Lol! I took a couple of vacation days, book-ending Labor Day weekend. But full on quitting? Unfortunately, I don’t live with my parents any more!

As others said unless you want to be homeless a few months after you play Classic don’t quit your job, I can understand taking a few days off (a week max).

Working from home is pretty neat. I’ll be there at 10AM for the cat realm to launch!

I’m at the point now where I earn just over 8 hours of vacation every week. I’m sitting on 20 weeks of accrued pto which is the max. So I have to take at least one day off every week just so I don’t lose pto. The only problem is that I’m working about 60 hours a week right now so my pto would be wasted if I didn’t donate it to other employees.

Aye, same here. Every day is a holiday!

Feel free to donate PTO to me. I’m open.

I work remotely, too.
My commute is “bedroom to bathroom to kitchen to computer room/office”.
I also have made it a rule to not respond to emails until after that 1st coffee or 0900, whichever comes last.

My boss pushes the social aspect and “show up to the meeting to show we are there, represent the business” sort of thing.

I have a situational telework in place. I’d do it 24/7 if I could. I swear i could get more done at home not having to deal with office drama and adults acting like kids.

Man that sounds great! Same routine here, but my day starts at 4AM.
Needless to say, coffee is my blood!

Yeah that’s a pain. I quit driving to work a few years back. If I’m not out of town on a project I’m working from home. Driving to work means at least 2, possibly 3 hours lost to commuting. Not to mention at least an hour going to lunch. That’s 3 to 4 hours of productivity lost, not worth it.

I was expected to be out of town during launch. But just got sent home yesterday because other contractors are behind and we can’t do anything until they’re done. Soooo I was able to take 1 week paid vacation. I don’t have to do anything besides poke smot and play WoW until 9/3.

Building a new desk and upgrading my pc this weekend in preparation for an all out leveling marathon. I’ve made my significant other well aware I am going to be very busy on my vidja games all week and will be unable to assist with kids, meal preparation, yard work, or house cleaning.

I usually start work at 5am. It’s a great feeling to get that kind of jump on the day. I used to do it the other way and work from around noon until 2-3am but that got old after a few years.

So much not dealing with the drama, and the constant noise and being bothered by people who are just killing time walking around…

My work is only 20 minutes away should I need to go in, but I’ve only been in the building twice this year.

I’ve only worn pants 4 times all summer long. Working from home is the only way to go.

Oh yeah, plus the actual cost of ‘going to work’ is removed, it’s a raise right there.
I buy gas about once every 3-4 weeks now.

I love WoW but I can’t imagine wasting a vacation day just to play a video game. I consider my vacation days to be far too important to be spent on that.
