Alright, for being the current stronghold of all dwarf-kind, it’s a little barren huh? And what about the dwarven senate? Their numerous guilds and businesses? Their vast libraries and troves of archeological discoveries?
Redesign the commons to give them more of a trading feel. Have bakers and food vendors selling all types of current and past spices. Have profession trainers here, but have the actual crafting stations in the:
Great forge! Where you have all the crafting stations, our inkeeper, and our little flavor spots, like a couple inns and open homes, plus the guild master.
Now, for the high seat - make it BIGGER!
A cavernous room, with the three thrones in the center, and rings and rings of seats ascending into the roof of the hall. This is the dwarves senate, a conglomeration of old dwarves families, landowners, and business representatives. The war quarter could have dwarven armies working through their drills, and the little hall could be opened up a bit and turned into a cavernous workshop, where all the steam powered machines and assembled.
The hall of explorers should be multi-leveled and go deep into the mountain - and it could serve a function! For archeologists, reading books and plaques could give 1 skill point per unique reading, making this a well-visited spot for new archeologists.
The magic quarter could be ironforge’s portal room, and also have their pantheon of the light - a domed room who’s single portal window sheds a cool light onto a tranquil pool, where dwarves paladins and priests are blessed before going off to adventure!
While we’re at it can we get the Gnomes their home of Gnomeregan back? I’d be willing to help.
I’m all for it, but could the Exodar and Silvermoon be brought into modern WoW first?

Would be nice but I think ironforge needs a update less than almost any other city it’s perfectly fine right now. The tbc cities and gnomeregan should go first.
The only redesign Blizz would have for an Alliance city involves destruction and the deaths of countless.

Not against IF getting some love but if any city needs love right now it’s Orgimmar. It’s still STILL being rebuilt from Cata. Finish our city, Blizz! How many times have you repaired Stormwind since Cata?
Also, move the damn embassy. There’s plenty of room. Give us our disgusting, hilarious goblin lake back.
I feel like the “all roads lead to a single capital” model they currently use, ie no haircuts/transmogs/portals in many capitals, making SW/Org the “one stop shop” is kind of dumb. I have a few dwarves and it just makes sense you would want to hang out in the capital where you feel most at home, not just where the dominant race of your faction is from.
I think the Org rebuilding thing speaks to how they need to update all the cata stuff, as deathwing is so far in the past no one even remembers or cares why the world is all messed up. Also, if they hate flying so much they could reduce the amount of “must have flying, but by the time I get it I won’t need to be here” areas 1-60.
Yes, even if it is a zidormi thing. It would be crazy cool to have it exist as a city, in its glory again.
