That’s definitely a tough question
Both have their pros and cons, it’s not easy to pick one or the other. Cake seems to be the most versatile - you can add sprinkles to it, custom frosting/colors, you can add custom artwork on it, etc
Pie on the other hand is probably slightly healthier simply because it might actually have some nutrition if it has real fruit or real filling inside it (apples, peaches, cherries, etc), I’m not aware of any versions of cake that aren’t just bread and sugar

If it birthday cake… I go with cake.
It’s the simple things I like. They make me smile. the funny things and comments that the NPC used to say or do are what I enjoyed, they were like easter eggs or little gems to be found.
