Theloras, are you known for something other than complaining about your plight as a paladin while others are perfectly fine with the class?

So the new raid meta will be filling up all the debuff slots with increased holy damage taken?

Cuz I'm the guy who actually researched, theory crafted and ended up getting the Retribution bugs fixed on the private servers.
You're welcome.
10/21/2018 05:19 AMPosted by Tunnelboy10/20/2018 07:49 PMPosted by ImpactJust roll Warrior and be done with it man. You will thank me later.
Warrior has two bis slot raid roles. They didnt make such great healers.
Paladins have one good raid role, and two crappy ones.
To be fair a Warrior might make a better healer using bandages in raids then Paladins doing damage as Ret.
Paladins are the best healer from MC to Naxx in vanilla wow.
It just isn't all we are good for is the entire point of my crusade.
GET IT?
CRUSADE
10/21/2018 01:50 AMPosted by FacerollIs it true Holy damage can be resisted on private servers? If so, just eliminating that bug should help at least a little.
It varies from Private server but on Lightshope I was finally able to get them to remove it - you can still have level based resistance cause partial resists - but this only occurs in PvE against higher level npcs (ie: raid mobs/bosses) due to them being set to level 61-63 respectively and this affects all schools of magic.
That being said, Seal of Righteousness and Consecration CANNOT be partially resisted at all (even due to level resistance) because each proc/tick can never crit. Judgement of Righteousness is subject to partial resists, just like Seal/Judgement of Command, Hammer of Wrath, Holy Shock, Exorcism and Holy Wrath.
Likewise, our debuff Judgements - Light, Wisdom, Crusader and lol Justice - cannot be resisted ever either in PvE or PvP.
Level Resistance =/= Holy Resistance (which was removed in beta patch 0.6 iirc)
10/21/2018 12:24 AMPosted by HärländI'll check out your podcast later, but you're correct they stacked at different ranks as long as they were different ranks.
Light, wisdom, and crusader are all I have used in that manner. So far I have not found any screen shots to confirm this, but still looking.
Light was common to stack on certain fights in Vanilla.

What survey?10/20/2018 08:06 PMPosted by PentanseClassic survey revealed that about 63% of the people that voted would be okay with them doing balance changes some time after release.

Blizzard released an online survey after the Classic announcement at last year's blizzcon in order to help them dial down what players were hoping to see in the game:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScIEaaMC91ZKe-7E0kbgtIDy-inWi9O5zPy5zE4ySRnteu_Lg/viewform?pli=1
Oh that survey that Blizzard had nothing to do with. I especially liked the questions about flying (as if) and what leveling rate you would prefer. I'd say that screwing up Classic by adding flying or increased leveling xp is about as likely as screwing it up by reworking classes.

So your notoriety is getting private servers to change the game due to your whining.
Gotcha. Totally elevating you to rock star status now.

so researching, properly documenting, writing up bug reports and advocating fixes according to how our spells/abilities actually worked in retail Vanilla because of how completely bugged they were on stock mangos = whining

Except that you fail to mention that over 90% of people in that survey voted NO for those 2 questions. Emphatically I imagine.
Having some stupid questions on the survey doesn't invalidate the important questions. Over 32,000 people responded, which is more than you are likely to see from another survey leading into classic release. I hardly consider it irrelevant.
Makes me wonder if hunters mark ranks will stack.
It doesn't matter. And your claim:10/21/2018 08:39 AMPosted by PentanseExcept that you fail to mention that over 90% of people in that survey voted NO for those 2 questions. Emphatically I imagine.
. . . is wrong. Blizzard had nothing to do with that survey. And that survey was pretty much torn to shreds on this forum as soon as it came out. It's meaningless.10/21/2018 07:43 AMPosted by ThelorasBlizzard released an online survey after the Classic announcement
It is irrelevant. Many questions were ambiguous (should classes be balanced - wtf does that mean? no more dead zone? infinite mana regen? what?) and most importantly it wasn't generated for the target audience.10/21/2018 08:39 AMPosted by PentanseHaving some stupid questions on the survey doesn't invalidate the important questions. Reddit trolls, BFA trolls, Twitch trolls, Classic haters and wall of no spammers . . . anyone could reply to that survey. It's worthless.
