when does the quest starting item drop in classic

The day BWL is open, I would think. Thats how it was back then. Everyone chain killing the guy for the drop to start the questline.
The Blackwing Lair attunement quest, “Blackhand’s Command”, will become available on all realms tomorrow, Friday, January 10.
