How?
Nah, give me more buttons. I love button bloat.
I main an enhancement shaman, and I think there’s no reason for concern about button bloat. People ASKED for more buttons, and we got it. Sit down somewhere.
You are correct. Blizzard liked it that way. Accept it or move on.
Brewmaster has the worst bloat issue that im aware of when it comes to abilities… like by far.
Most people did move on and more are on their way.
I don’t mind as much as others. Of course, I also play FFXIV, so I have a different perspective. But honestly, I don’t see why any class needs more than two bars of abilities. Period. Slim the number down and make them more effective, rather than adding additional things. Naturally, this is my personal opinion.
Exactly. So prune us then put WoW on console, then you might get newer/younger players like my 17 year old. He doesn’t have a PC, but he does have consoles!
Ah yes… the old… I don’t like something so clearly does everyone else resulting in devastating losses in the player base…
I had fewer keybinds in MoP than now and that was right before the ability pruning
Which isn’t a Brewmaster Monk, last I checked.
checks…
Yep. Still not a Brewmaster Monk.
Yes, the talents should be majority passives and they can alter your rotation for different play styles
I don’t think you know what casual means.
Because you probably play at a low level.
When I focused on pure pvp I had 6 binds just for blind.
I believe what a lot of people don’t realize is that, during vanilla, there wasn’t a button bloat problem. But when the expansions started coming out, they added “new” abilities to entice people. What happened is they compounded over time, and some people got used to it, while others didn’t. Heck, they even pruned them once already.
Now, those who can manage that many abilities cry, “don’t dumb it down” while those who can’t say, “pruning and making the abilities we do have more effective isn’t dumbing it down, it’s simply smart, especially if they want to port to console.”
I’m good as long as it doesn’t reach FFXIV heights, but either way, both camps have points. I’m sure certain players would be afraid of loosing utility. I mean, look at Diablo III and IV. They only have six slots. Combat is fast and mostly fun, but they lack utility.
That’s ridiculous.
Not really.
Blind arena 1
Blind arena 2
Blind arena 3
Blind
Focus blind
Focus step/blind
You need 2-3 more keyboards and you need a few robotic arm implants to help you with that. Make sure that you get the latest bionic chip installed to control these well. And you’re good to go!
Could also go the pure tentacle way if you don’t care about looks, sit in your room and aren’t gonna throw a fit if you’re a slime with lotsa tentacles!
Regardless, the different in your case is player agency. You’ve chosen to have all those keybinds. Now imagine if they gave us all six of those built-in. While I’m sure you’d enjoy it, most wouldn’t.
Pretty much every dps spec. has options for builds with lots of passive abilities or lots of active abilities. Build a spec. with a reduced active ability count. I know I start to put a limit on things if it means I have to start stretching to inconvenient or unfamiliar keybinds, even if it’s not the cookie-cutter spec. The actual dps difference will most likely be minimal – some people actually play better when able to concentrate on the bigger picture instead of hyper-focusing on ten different buttons that need to be mashed at the right time in the right order.
