"But, if they add a new race, they'll have to remake every armour piece."

Dracthyr don’t show armour, except shoulders and belts. And I’m very happy with Dracthyr by the way. It’s better to be naked than not exist.

If you want a kitten, and someone offers you a kitten, do you refuse it because it can’t have a bell? I don’t. I am happy to have the kitten.

Armor isn’t the issue with Dracthyr…

For some sure, others very much like the look of dracthyr.

I’m just waiting on the drakonids and sethrak to be playable.

It’s always a vulpera player

The goofy lizards not existing sounds like the better option.

What cheeses me off is that I did an entire questline that lead up to, “you are free to go where you want and be who you want,” that lead to nothing. It was right there. The whole unlock for them!

There’s still a few content patches left before TWW, my hopes remain shaky but present

While I personally don’t want Drakkonids I know there are many who do. So hopefully they can get added for those that want them.

Since the game’s inception the armor has been made to fit on every race. It’s by necessity since there are a number of toys/items/spells that transform you. Even back in vanilla Tauren had stealth animation.

“But, if they add a new race, they’ll have to remake every armour piece.”

that doesnt seem right.
Arent armor peices simple set to cover certain parts of the body model?
I can see having to adjust to make something look ok, but redoing it for every race?
That just doesnt make any sense.

But really, they should have put the work in and allowed transmog for Dracthyr in their main form.

Dracthyr also use a modified bottom half of the female worgen skeleton, and the top half of the demon hunter metamorphosis skeleton.

Dracthyr are more of an allied race than Kul Tirans are.

These are some weird comparisons.

While I respect your opinion I hope you respect the fact that the vast majority of the normal playerbase don’t want to play with the aesthetic that you appreciate. You do you, but the game becomes less enjoyable when you have 3 hyper sexualized rats in your party for some people.

Source?

I’m not taking sides or arguing for anything, but unless you did some polling, interviewing thousands of randomly selected people across every subsect of the WoW community to generate unbiased statistically valid data, there’s no way to know what the vast majority of the playerbase wants in aesthetics.

You can’t just invoke a majority that may not even exist just because you feel like you’re in that majority. It’s possible that most people would enjoy the thing you don’t enjoy, and you’re just in a social bubble of people who find that thing unenjoyable. I’m not saying that is the case, but we can’t know for real unless some solid research is done on the subject.

yeah I don’t mind the armor issues with Dracthyr…I’m more so ticked the only visage options were ugly elf boy and human girl. Let my dracthyr have a pandaren visage or a vulpera or idk something interesting. I don’t need the dragon customizations but maybe the horns…and eyes.

As for the whole adding a new race thing if they use a prior skeleton like how they used worgen skeleton for dracthyr they won’t need to redesign armor at all. So like give us saberon for horde using worgen frame and give worgen optional tails so they don’t riot when yet another race using their frame shows up with a tail before they get theirs

Unironically, this is my favorite thing to come out of Dragonflight–the sheer number of non-elf-presenting dragons, especially the fifteen pandas hanging out in Blueville.

I get a bit giddy when I see them, even a year and a half into the xpac.

Luckily the next race to be added are more dwarves (only this time with skin tags) so they should have a pretty easy time with the armor.
