To some degree, yes, as I mentioned. There are two videos I can find of actual vanilla Naxx. One being Nihilum’s first KT kill where the Warrior has songflower, ZG and Rend, another where the person filming (the tank) has none.
We’re talking about Nihilum here. The number one guild for a long time, and he has 3 world buffs. Missing Ony entirely, no DMT. If anyone were going to ensure their guild had full world buffs, it would have been Nihilum.
He’s loaded with other consumes etc, but world buffs? They just weren’t a thing like they are today. Even the very most hardcore raider in 2006 didn’t world buff the way even the super casual do now. I’m sorry, but they didn’t.
You’ll notice in my original post I never said “people didn’t ever use world buffs” I made argument against the claim “people used world buffs all the time”.
The fact is, they didn’t. Even the very top guild at the time wasn’t fully world buffed during their first KT kill. A kill which I would imagine had the very hardest try-hards available.
