Burning Crusade Classic Season 2 Ends January 11

Most items can be refunded by talking to any vendor within two hours. If you log out after purchasing the item, the two hour timer will continue to count down.

To prevent mistakes, whenever an action removes the refund timer, the game will pop-up a confirmation message that you need to acknowledge and accept. For example, when you equip, enchant, upgrade, or transmog the item.

Customer Support does not refund items. If your refund timer expired you can keep, sell, or destroy the item.

This is directly from blizzard. Maybe its different for TBC, idk. Hopefully you’re right though. Best of luck

If there is no discount on S2 gear, what would be the point of buying it over S3? Seems like it has to have some kind of discount otherwise no one would buy it?

Appreciate it but I bought the gloves 6 hours ago, logged out, and then back in after I read your post and it was definitely showing 1 hour and 58 minutes remaining and let me sell it back to the vendor for a full refund. So that copy/paste absolutely does not apply. Thanks though!

I agree. The question is why have they not clarified or confirmed the s2 off season at this point? There’s no way they’re going to wipe arena points with no warning. I think the logical conclusion is they plan on handling it the same as last season because they have not felt the need to post any details on the matter 1 day away before the season ends. Also multiple users have confirmed that s2 gear was discounted by 50% on the PTR. But again no confirmation when that goes into effect. I think its safe to assume the same time as last season.

@Kaivax will the season be ending at 10PM PST today, similar to what happened last season?

Why the non-transparency this season about the off season? S2 supposedly ends tomorrow and still no clarification about the off-season? Why are we not getting a heads up by the community manager?

they’re still working through issues. don’t feel comfortable announcing the next phase in the state it’s currently in.

Still no confirmation on arena end time and whether we retain arena points to buy discounted… unbelievably bad customer service…

Who cares. You destroyed PvP the moment you introduced your stupid changes no one wanted.

Do you guys even have any idea how bad participation is in pvp content? Any at all?

If ‘you’ is Blizzard I agree. Starting teams at 0 along with the 200 hour honor grind have ruined pvp

Finally a partial answer. Discount confirmed but the exact number (20 or 50%) isn’t stated.

Sound good buddy. Enjoy the new gear

I looked at the vendor this morning. It’s a 50% discount.

They’re always “working through issues” which don’t need to be “issues” in the first place. Just sloppy everything.

I was curious and looked it up for a few of the most populated pvp US servers.

-Benediction - 3.6k of 22k players had arena games - about 16% of players
-Faerlina - 2.7k of 15k - about 18%
-White mane - 2.5k of 17k - about 15%

I really didn’t think it would be this bad on these servers. It’s much worse for pve servers, like 5% of players participating in arenas.

A few simple changes could dramatically increase participation and pvp is always better with more people participating.

-Change starting team rating back to 1500
-Remove rating requirements from all gear/weapons
-double honor gains in battlegrounds

I truly don’t understand why they dig their heels in against these changes……… or its probably more likely that its just apathy. They decided they’d make those changes before the game was released and now they’re too damn stubborn or apathetic to change.

Im surprised people actually expect people to go to an MMO for PvP content.

“Hey you know this game where time = power?”

“Yeah?”

“Well I am going to play that to try and get good competition”

“Doesnt that just mean that the people who have the most time will get the most results?”

“Yep!”

“And thats where you are going for your competitive fix?”

“Well yeah, I got time so I will have an advantage”

“I see”

I just dont see many people playing old stuff for the player versus player aspect over nostalgia. All the changes would do is make it so I AFK through 10 matches a week to get a weapon at the end of the season. But if that is what people want then I suppose hurray?

What you want does not equal what other people want though. You see Arena as something to AFK through just so you can grab a weapon for PvE…not everyone is playing Arena for that reason.

I think the pvp participation rates show that more people are closer to my camp than the other way around. I never said it was universal, I was just guessing given the data available.

But I obviously cant speak causally. You got some data that shows people would suddenly enjoy PvP itself when rewards are added?

I think the pvp participation rates show that blizz completely dropped the ball with their changes.

If they just used the original tbc system, people like you would have been queuing their 10 games every week and participation rates would be up. Maybe even some of those players “afk’ing” 10 games might enjoy arenas and play more.
