Literally dozens of us!
Again, that’s blizzard’s fault not the player. No person should be punished for wanting to play the faction they’re friends play. I remember they’re being lootboxes for alliance and if they buff the gold/loot from that I’m sure it’ll make up for it.
I mean literally retail doesn’t have HvH BGs, so why is something totally new to the warcraft game being added to whats suppose to be a 15 year old game.
You think a gold and some bread will make up for being completely shut out of any open world questing, getting farmed at the TK grave yard, getting corpse camped at the SSC choke point etc?
This is 100% because Blizzard gave horde free transfers here.
You actually believe some bread addresses this?
This wouldn’t be a good solution. It doesn’t do anything to address the cause nor the result, whereas HvH addresses the result though not the cause.
Nah like 15g per loss and 30g per win in the boxes
Bread and cheese lol
Let’s deal with what actually exists.
Sounds like you should just xfer to a PvE server tbh.
Because offering alliance extra loot worked so well in retail, right?
The only time it actually caused players to faction change was when it offered high level gear for doing the Against Overwhelming Odds quest and even then, they did the quest, quest got nerfed and they faction changed back to horde. They even gave alliance an honor boost and the faction still dwindled.
Like it or not, queue times are the best incentive to get more players to swap who want to PvP and this change removes that. It’s worse than merc mode because with this system, every alliance could stop queuing and the system would still function.
Honestly, who cares anymore.
TBC is garbage circling the drain. Arena system is jacked up, hardly anyone qing, half the players have left.
It’s an easy fix until they can squeeze some sheep for more boosts, mounts and toys when WotLK comes out, then that will die too.
Thank you for this Blizz.
Terrible solution Blizzard, you should just remove factions and allow everyone to play together just like battlegrounds.
This is my biggest problem with it.
What I find even more surprising is the number of players who don’t care at all that the solution is totally unauthentic to TBC, going far, far beyond no changes. It’s so far away from what the original team would do it’s not even funny.
I am not surprised in any way that they are putting HvH back with the feedback they got from impatient horde players.
To me queues were always a non-issue and just part of the game so to fix a non-issue is just not having priorities straight imo.
it says that they are keeping HvH bg’s for rest of tbc this isn’t just a test
No, you’re wrong. I don’t say one thing and do another. You will not find a single person who saw me in any HvH game. I did some BGs the first round of testing to get WSG tokens and /afked out of every HvH until I got HvA ones. I needed 4 WSG marks and had to /afk out 8 times and wait for the deserter. In the second round I just never played any BG except a few AVs. Playing in HvH games is not an option as far as I’m concerned.
Perfect, thank you!
You chose that faction just reroll bro
How is having a human being wait 30 minutes to play the game the best incentive from a game developers point of view? I want you to actually rationalize that for us please.
Sorry but I disagree. While I dont think this is the best solution, it did not make sense for players unable to play the game for bgs. The primary pvp focus for TBC is arenas where faction doesnt matter. In order for more people to engage in pvp honor needs to be gained at a decent rate to get the starter gear for entry to arena. Many alliance on these forums have been using the queue times as a spiteful concept against horde mixed with a superiority complex of them selecting alliance.
Additionally, I dont understand the alliance perspective/comments in here where they think they have been at a disadvantage in pvp. That horde is so much better or more effective and thus they needed the instant queues/premades as a means to compete. In my experience pugging bgs regularly I just dont see it. I see alliance overwhelmingly execute in premades and tend to win a higher percentage. They gain honor faster than general horde players due to long queues and inability to premade as much.
It’s not that horde is better (well, it is) it’s that the community was created thinking it’s better, so many PvPers all went horde.
So now you have 80% of the PvP servers being one faction PvE servers. On retail everyone is horde. Like 98% of the total playerbase is horde. We don’t want that to happen to classic.
