The Alliance zone takes inspiration from Elwynn Forest with touches of Westfall and Duskwood, and the Horde’s is inspired by Durotar, its coastline, and Azshara.
I can’t wait!!!
I’m glad your Irisheyes are smiling!
Great… now stop staring into em, you’re weirdin me out XD.
And Lumberjack, the gathering mate!
Genuinely I hope not. It should be fun-for-all. They should put all sorts of awesome furniture items/cosmetics in old dungeons/raids, farmable mobs, everywhere. It would give people who are interested a TON to do.
So many people in this game enjoy farming old content. Give us more reasons to do it.
Not to mention themed items on timewalking vendors, too.
Anywho. I’m sure it’ll be some slow drip miserable process as usual. Would be nice if they actually released this system fleshed out and EXTREMELY fun, as it could be. I’d play it like crazy.
I’m actually excited for this. I need to be prepared for disappointment.
I’d love it.
Same! I have been playing since classic! I have wanted it since WoW started! It is long overdue!
Could we get double rested exp sleeping in our house?
I hope! That would be great! I want to hearthstone to my house.
Instanced apartments in all the racial cities would be wonderful. I would love one in Valdrakken myself.
I would like to be able to paint my house and furniture different colors. That would go a long way towards being able to feel like I can make my house my own.
I get that we’ll never get armor dye, and I don’t expect that after 20 years, but for new systems going forward the ability to change the color of items is important.
I do wish that we could get housing in Bel’ameth so that I could have a night elf themed housing area. I hope they add housing areas that fit the theme for each different race eventually. Earthen would be near Dornogal, maybe a goblin area near Undermine, dwarves near Ironforge, etc.
Apartments are boring. Had one in FFXIV. After a while I realize there is no point tryharding the decorations because no one is going to see it and just optimize for convenience by placing all the functional furnishing right at the door so they are accessible upon zoning in.
For you they are boring. I have had apartments in FF14, and instanced houses in every other game I have played with housing. I like em. Used to spend hours in EQ2 just decorating, and all it had for the longest time was apartment style housing. Mind you they are much bigger than FF14 apartments, but still.
I decorate to make myself happy, not to wow other people.
I am not saying to have something like that instead of neighborhoods, but as well as. Smaller, instanced housing in each of the cities would let people choose where they want to live and not have the headache of creating an entire zone.
I hope my warlock can like a mini Isengard or his own tower like or my hunter looks like a huge hunter den we will see how much customization we can do.
does anyone know if there will be neighbors that we can see and /wave beside our home? similar to ff online? or is it instanced?
ty
But nothing is forcing you to interact with other players in a neighborhood. Neighborhoods encourage social interaction but they don’t enforce it.
Your house won’t be demolished if you don’t say hi to your neighbors once a week.
Curious to see how neighbourhoods will be laid out. What if there’s a house on a hill/certain area I’d like but someone else got assigned that plot?
Can’t wait!
do you mean everyone gets assigned a plot at random?
or do we have to buy a plot with gold?
Yeah that’s what I am curious about. How neighbourhoods will be laid out etc.
Go to another neighbourhood I guess.
Mak’gora the home owner, survivor keeps the house.
