The game uses more threads than ever before but is still largely distributed to a single core. For example, most my 6/12 i7 ever goes up to on live is about 40% usage

Off the top of my head that Mobo should only support 4GB per dim and that’s assuming the OS is 64 bit which it may not be with ten year old hardware. I don’t like telling people they need to spend money but that hardware will not perform up to the expectations the OP has for it.

It would be worth a shot with no money invested, but as soon as you have to spend money on it (that can’t be reused again, like smaller ram modules) it’s a loss and I can’t recommend it either.
