I’m trying to think of any major characters that came out as straight after the fact?
It’s information disclosed fairly quickly within the character’s arc…
I am not saying I am an expert, but usually I look at the adam’s apple. If I can’t make it out, then gay, if it is large and you can feel the presence then not gay. It’s not exactly scientific, but it works out 99% of the time.

Do you mean not expressed their sexuality?
Yeah, with most characters, some evidence of their sexuality is presented early on. Take WC3 - Arthas is linked with Jaina right off the bat, as area Tyrande, Malfurion and Illidan.
In WoW, Mankrik’s story heavily involves his wife, again, presented pretty soon.
I suppose out of that cast, it could go either way for Thrall and statistically, in all fairness, he could have been homosexual. Maiev’s spotlighted affection for Naisha makes me suspect as well.
But yeah, i can’t think of any characters that came revealing their orientation years after the fact outside of thrall.

Except no, because in the even of a book, there are internal monologs and private scenes we’d be privy too.
If the rule of reality is invoked that we don’t know all things about everyone, ergo anyone can be gay, then statistical realities should apply too.
Because - and it brings us back to point one - it seems inauthentic and shoehorned if otherwise, like soldier 76.
I think it would be infinitely better than what we have got too, yes.
My only hesitation regarding this would be more that it might support a negative gender stereotype about het men - that they cannot be gentle, wise, pacifist, so on.

Maybe. I just don’t see the advocacy for one form of verisimilitude but not another. I guess that’s a logical inconsistency i find difficult to reconcile.
And i detest any presence (real or imagined) of the gay agenda, so when you throw that into the mix, the difficulty becomes close to impossible.
And to your effort, i would like more gay Horde characters if they’re looking to introduce characters who are gay.

It’s a big topic and I’m sure that everyone has their own backed up views.
For me, it’s the re-writing of history and reality that i intensely dislike for two big reasons-

We don’t need history re-written or reality re-defined for acknowledgement, equal treatment in the eyes of the law, dignity, or compassion. It’s like that line from Xmen 2 that always stuck with me when Nightcrawler asks Mystique why she simply just doesn’t live in a human guise - she says, “Because we shouldn’t have to”. We don’t need to crusade for untruths to be validated.

The level of discourse tends to be very basic and reductive with the falsehoods as real issues that are faced by these minorities, as well as any that might arise, are actually not acknowledged. Not related to the game but I’d rather a discussion about LGB being a minority population of society and how that impacts the psyche of the average LBG person as opposed to pretend that we have the exact same challenges as our straight counterparts. Broadly speaking, yes, the human experience is same across the board. But there are some things specific to growing up gay for instance that will be exclusive to that gay person.
We already have male blood elves.
Idk but I’ve been saying for years that Lucio is trans.

I’d go more pansexual with him. Vulpera don’t seem the picky type so it’d be neat to show some of that even with sexuality.
I’m not trying to imply pansexual people will just wanna sleep with EVERYONE. I just like the idea of gender not being a huge deal with animal like races.
The alternative for animal races would be to have the males just be GORGEOUS. Like how lovely peacocks look compared to peahens. ( bonks anyone before they make a blood elf joke shush )
