This applies to all pets—

they chase you through stealth & hit you out of it

if you are being pursued by a pet and stealth it gives permanent combat to its owner.

pets gain combat from >40 yards away and the enemy team will permanently combat bug off of it.

its a really irked state of the game, where any team with a pet is impossible to land a sap on opener.

This isn’t a bug. If a pet is commanded to attack you before you stealth, it will still run up to you and attack you even if you are stealthed.

I made a post about this in classic. Guess its just part of the game - you need to vanish to have a pet not chase you if you restealthed normally.
