Buff enhance heals!

Maybe you just need Shamanistic rage back and that old talent that made earthbinds pulse remove snares for allies but just make that the shaman, I don’t see any reason why enhance shouldn’t be able to kite like they used too with the state WoW is in RN.

That’s not asking to much of your keybinds really…

Problem with kiting is that enhance needs to be in melee to build MSW stacks. If they want to orient us more towards kiting then we need to be able to build MSW stacks at range. It’s also pretty impossible to kite as enhance in the modern game when everyone has a ton of gap closers and enhance has to engage in melee to function. Would require a ton of tools to be able to constantly engage and disengage.

I’m not saying that as an entire gameplay identity I mean to peel for oneself and others, and play defensive while being safe if needed.
Earthbind clearing snares is also great into mages so you can actually stick to targets, or even a damn warrior snare like it can’t be fun walking at your enemies all the time.

But yes Blizzard has gone a bit too crazy on how much mobility has creeped into the game, remember when warriors could only charge once, those were the days.
Now we have DH’s being ****ing melee John Wicks yeeting from pillar to pillar being unable to get that demon from hell off of you.

Considering Frozen Power was taken from Enhance, made class-wide, and then relegated to a sometimes you get this if you use frost shock proc for Elemental, I have high doubts Earth Power will ever return, considering half of it dealt with Earth shock. It was also immediately nerfed after WotLK beastcleave came close to beating RMP in arena tourney (or maybe they won? It was so long ago).

And even if we removed a single snare with earthbind pulse, it doesn’t off-set the mobility creep of many classes.

DH - fel rush x 2, fel blade, the hunt, vengeful retreat
Warr - charge x 2, heroic leap
Rogue - Grappling Hook (outlaw), Shadowstep x 2, Sprint that suppresses snares
WW Monk - Roll x 2, tiger’s lust sprint, transcendance, flying serpent kick
Ret Paladin - Divine Steed x 2, Blessing of Freedom x 2 w/ speed boost
Feral - shifting snares, dash, skull bash, wild charge, stampeding roar

Most of these classes have enough mobility to:

  • get instantly back to you after a thunderstorm, then
  • get instantly back to you after a lasso
  • have some type of sprint/charge/immunity to bypass the other snares
  • have a mobility option available after dealing with static field totem

(I am actively not putting survival hunter here because I know nothing about them. DK not listed for same reason)

Lastly, adding something like Earthen Power just for the shaman back is redundant, because we already suppress snares in Ghost Wolf. And it’s clear they want us using Ghost Wolf to kite/defend (Even cast if you decide you can somehow fit ghost wolf affinity into your enhance spec).

Well Survival is my main DPS and having masters call to clear snares and 1 grapple/concus/minor roots and cheetah on a 5min cd is more than enough for me to kite even a DH in some cases.

This is why I think an Earthbind pulse cleanse would help with frost shocks outside of the DH class for gapping melee it would just be a process like I think it should be? I don’t think it should be so easy to keep a melee off of you completely but yeah.

Frost shock roots bring them back?

Frozen Power would be nice.

Most of my issue with Enh pvp is that Blizzard seems to have forgotten that it took so much extra things to even have the spec in a place where it was viable (not op) to reach the top tier if you weren’t a complete sweaty.

Things like:

Sham rage
Sham rage Glyph to dispel magic
Frozen Power Roots
Earthen Power Snare dispel
Hex as part of maelstrom weapon instant casting
Stoneclaw totem to taunt/stun pets
Stoneclaw totem glyph for personal shield, and to shield totemds
Stoneshield totem for personal shield
Stormblast
Tremor during a fear/charm/sleep
Grounding Totem Baseline
Flame Shock % healing glyph
Flame Shock duration extension glyph

Even with all of these things,…Enhance still was a try-hard to hit top ranks, and other classes/specs did it easier better.l

So without these things, it sometimes feels like a constant uphill struggle.

Frozen Power roots would be a boon for Enhance, to both peel for yourself/allies, but also to chase down kill targets. But seeing as its not even baseline for Elemental, who has to choose to even use it as part of surge of power, I also don’t expect it to make a comeback.

I think we’re all on the same page here really, to the main focus of the thread, I think all those things you’ve listed are overall much more interesting and deep than just buffing healing surge and calling it a day.

(I don’t miss insta hex though)

  • Make swelling waves baseline for all shaman
  • Nature’s Swiftness affects all nature spells not just healing or damaging ones
  • Mana back on damaging spells and abilities
  • Etheral form doesnt replace astral shift, makes you immune to all damage, and makes you heal for all damage taken while it is active. super unique skill
  • Nature’s guardian baseline. Make talent improve it to heal you more or give a shield when it procs.
  • increase all totem health. Totems count as pets so why are they literally all 1 tap and super readable.
  • Stoneskin totem to reduce all damage taken by 10% not just physical as no one really just uses physical damage.
  • Spirit walk 45 sec CD, ‘Go with the flow’ just makes it last longer
  • Ancestral Defense should give 4% avoidance 4% Leech 4% mana back on hit
  • remove healing surge nerf so enhance doesnt have to take too many talents for a decent heal.
  • ‘Refreshing Waters’ can be reworked and made put in the shaman tree for all shaman to take - Refreshing Waters: Every heal on yourself, removes one bad effect.
  • Astral Shift to be usable in stun already ffs its been so long of people asking it doesnt make sense that it is not usable in stun.

I copy pasted what I said in another post. But I think I like the idea of totems just working like wards in LoL with requiring a set number of hits instead of HP based.

Not to mention when hit with MS. Being enhance I feel like I’m at a severe disadvantage. Not only do I have to forego damage when I’m in trouble to heal (which is basically the entire fight now, just being rode hard and put away wet), but my walls feel like total paper. It’s completely unfair and imbalanced. Blizz ruined our class with these stupid nerfs considering we got nothing in return. Nothing. Not a single bit of defensive buffs to offset these atrocious decisions. I’m sick of not being listened to.

BLIZZARD, ARE YOU LISTENING? HELLO?

How many years have we been saying this? It’s beyond a parody now. It’s so frustrating, I rolled a rogue the other month and I was basically just spamming a couple of abilities, stuck too a shaman and they couldn’t do anything. Not to mention the damage was absurd, + they had a wound poison.

Make storm shield proc a damage absorb shield every time it procs (or you get CC’d - would rather the CC version but whatever) and make the Surging shields talent baseline - replace with another enhanced version of Surging shields to make Storm shield truck damage + provide the shield against people who train you. I’m so sick of being ridden the entire time - our burst is decent but it’s easy to counter through raw defensives/heal throughput (with no MS) or simply spamming CC into the shaman which functions even better to never create an opportunity to run rampant.

Even worse, our utility that everyone talks about being so useful, isn’t useful when you’re constantly trained and on the back foot. Shaman utility is good when you’re tempo-ing the other team, but if you’re never able to get that tempo, it’s next to useless. It’s why Paladin defensives have always been so good, it can full stop an enemy team’s tempo.

Anyone who defends nerfing shaman damage without advocating for defensives is trolling - the crit reels of people getting triple crit ele blast + prim wave LB (1/1000 chance) on noobs while leveling or with no defensive up is not reality - the other 999 times that it doesn’t happen and it’s stupid to justify the masochism by other shaman community members I’ve seen them spit lately. If that combo didn’t crit, it wasn’t scary.

edit: added a diff/better option for suggested change

They could change countersteike totem from a totem to Lightning shield buff to reflect dmg for the duration and they could make the shaman shield talent increase this dmg by ×%

They could also make us take less damage while Earth Shield is up. Make Ethereal Form a separate ability from Astral Shift. Give us a Maelstrom Dump shield or make our Healing Surge give us a shield based on maelstrom spent. Combine Stoneskin Totem with Healing Stream Totem. Make Stoneskin reduce ALL dmg by x% and make it a maintenance totem so no CD. Or change it to Earthen Shield Totem.

There’s a lot of things they could do to round out our defense, they’re just not doing any of it.

Buff enhance healing surge Blizz!

30% healing surge nerf from shadowlands + 28% MSW nerf is too much.

Revert one or the other please.

Also, if overflowing is sticking around, then at least make it increase max MSW stacks to 15 so we can bank a heal.

Tremor totem, grounding totem all need to be off the GCD. Ascendance and Astral Shift should be off the GCD, AS usable in stuns.

Thunderous Paws should be 100% movement speed increase on a 20 second CD.

Give Shamanistic Rage back, usable in stuns if AS still isn’t. Add in a port totem that has double the health of the shaman or can’t be killed.

Just my $.02 on the subject.

Yes please. These are reactive totems. They should be off GCD like interrupts and spell reflect are. Please reward awareness by allowing these to go down if we press them before spells complete.

Particularly for enhance, which plays a global locked playstyle, the 1.5 sec GCD on our kit makes it hard to get totems off before fast casted spells complete. Please take these off the GCD.

Mindgames should have died with shadowlands but, since it didn’t, at least give us grounding off GCD to have a better shot at stopping it.
