Buff DKs defenses

So I been playing pvp alot lately and notice I can do dmg but when it comes to defense I am trash. I time all my cool downs but something feels off like I die super fast then I did in BFA. I get one shotted by rogues and paladins just destroy me with one stun. Feels like we have no armor and we wear cloth. Maybe bring back Auras like the old days or something. Feels like theres too little room also with action bars cause of all the macros etc… I am a frost dk and also we have no mobility. BRING BACK AURAS! Warriors get defensive stance and pallys got some old stuff not really fair just cause they sucked for a long time.

Death Strike nerf needs to be reverted - due to the much higher damage output of the game. That is all we really need. Other classes are overtuned. Maybe not a complete revert but more than it is now.

I’m feeling the exact same way. Seems that even though we have tons of defensives (IBF, AMS, zone, death pact, sac pet, etc) I’m still getting blown THE f up. I’m spending 5 globals just to try to stay alive for more than 15 seconds. Damage is good during Pillar of Frost when 2h frost, and solid in UH, but I go down like a sack of potatos every time.

they could bake blood pres into vet

  • Blood Presence
    increasing Stamina by 20%, and base armor by 30%, and reducing damage taken by 10%

Blood
Stamina increased by 30%.

Frost , Unholy , Initial
Stamina increased by 10%. now increase it to 20% and 30% for blood
Increasing base armor by 30% 40% for blood reducing damage taken by 10% and 20% for blood

this would solve some problems

Dude me too. DK feels really really squishy. I’m sick about It because I’m already way progressed with my sanctum and finally getting some gear. Kept thinking it’d get better but it’s not.

Yeah, I did some skirmishes with my friend who is a Ret Pally and half the time my goal was to just try and not die, I had to default the Death Pact just for the emergency heal and had to get BOP’d just about every match. Of course almost every game was vs a Sub Rogue which was terrifying.

YES this please. Death strike does hardly any healing.

Although I agree deathstrike heals for nothing… you still need to be alive to use it, with RP, within range, and most importantly it has to hit… all of these things won’t happen in PvP if you ctrl+alt+delted in 4 seconds by a rogue, hunter, druid, pally ect who looks in your direction and you explode. Or they pop any defensive CD that just makes it not work.

Hunter and pally with immunes we have no way to deal with kek

It would be pretty cool if we had a spell steal thing like mage. They added that on Legion alpha but took it down. It would make sense since DKs are all about denying/countering magic

Didn’t we have some purge spell steal thing that they ended up giving to demon hunters for some reason?

It just feels terrible fighting equally geared melees (esp a plate class like warrior)

Warriors have better defensives, damage, utility, and mobility.

It would be nice to have presence back as well a roll back on DS nerf with something else to survive bursts in addition to our damage tuning (or other classes need to be tuned down).

Yup. Legion alpha or beta we had a spell steal for 1 rune, and we could use the skill again on an ally to transfer the stolen buff to said ally, so it was up to the DK if the buff was more effective on him or someone else on the party. Pretty cool mechanic, got the mage spell steal and made it cooler.

But then, DKs CANNOT have things

I could’ve agreed with that whole post if you hadn’t tried to say warriors have better damage. Have you ever been hit by an Unholy DK? They are a walking delete button, albeit one that has next to no survivability due to Death Strike being dead in the water.

Rogues and Paladins are problematic. They both need their PvP dps nuked into the dirt because of their NET damage nullification advantage (as in when all stuns and mitigations are tallied) over other classes.

I think Blizzard builds the game around PvE content, and then scales PvP afterwards, which makes sense. In PvE, I think Rogues need their single target abilities/damage toned back and their cleave buffed so it doesn’t take them eons to single target/stealth through a single mob. Paladins seem to be doing fine in PvE.

Revert DS, yes.

Try out Rune of Spellwarding or Rune of Sanguination. With pallor with the latter.

It actually helps with survivability the lot.

Deaths embrace is legit. Highly suggest that. If you run into shadow/afflict you can literally ams from the start and shut all their dmg down.

Everyone feels squishy but that leggo is low key OP. Grab a WW or warrior and you’ll Mongo casters. Plus some of the strongest melee have magic dmg which it will help with and heal you.

I will say I’m considering swapping to kyrian for those fat health pots though.
