Sorry, that’s the writing level of the devs and always has been. They can do young adult fiction level stuff only. Please laugh at the mandatory poop joke and other cringe stuff that you’re 20 years too old to enjoy.
I mean after SL there should be no doubt that these people don’t have a clue.
They’re worse than most TV writers at building up any kind of narrative arc (and one need look no further than last season GoT for the limits of that, a season btw that their last head of narrative thought was amazing).
At least most TV writers know not to retroactively retcon their most beloved and praised previous stories in order to shoe-horn in a new mary-sue antagonist. Not to gut and rip to shreds the basic tenets of their universe seasons into the show (unless and this is the one acceptable reason, they’re pulling a Bob Newhart, the show is over and they reveal it was all a dream type of thing).

All of the writers for WoW have to be in there purely by nepotism. There is just no way in hell any of them were hired because via any merit.

I think the writing is alright and the stories are good myself
You realize the options for antagonists are a little limited when any villain of import dies on a 6 month timer, yeah?

Honestly the first cinematic with Dalaran Fight was better than nearly all of DF’s cinematics so…
