For anyone who doesn’t understand what is going on with the arguments in here, allow me to explain:
There are posters here attempting to make lore arguments, that aren’t supported by lore. They know themselves that the lore isn’t there, yet persist. Why?
They do this (not Blizzard), because their real intention, is to politicize games, and then shame anyone who disagrees with segregating real life races in WoW.
It’s not about WoW or about lore. They want to bully others with social constructs.

The irony in everything you post. If the shoe fits, then wear it. Keep trying to gaslight every person you reply to though and live in your imaginary fantasy that you’re always right and only speak objectively.
You make everything political. You accuse others of the things you do.
Goodbye.
Case and point right here. The default when exposed is to hurl insults.

I don’t loathe this request. It makes sense. In a fantasy game, why would you want to play a boring human?
I’d play and pretend to be from Persia and act cool.
“Red” skin tones would be nice too since I don’t see them mentioned much. As long as humans don’t get some form of the respective irl culture, if you want that tauren exist.
please by making the game more diverse and inclusive they are welcome new players into a safe environment where people can be themselves
That’s really confusing, what does safe and unsafe mean?

For Example; by blizzard only have white humans it made people of colour feel unsafe and unwelcome but with shadow lands blizzard is becoming more diverse and welcoming to those people by adding Asians and African Americans.
That’s the thing, these added customizations are neither Asian nor African, because those races don’t exist in Azeroth, the skins are just Human, and should be called Human, not segregated according to your real life perspectives.
It does more harm than good to call someone African or Asian in WoW, you’re actually gaslighting politics.
Correlating the new customizations to real life races is tantamount to using a fantasy race to segregate real life people, using a perception that people feel “unsafe” as justification, when that reasoning doesn’t have a true meaning or substantial evidence to suggest it.

Sorry just have to disagree but i respect you opinion ever since the news of African Americans being added a few of my black friends might give wow a try now they feel safe and included.
The terminology tho, safe? Really?
Safe. Because there is a cartoon caricature of your ancestry in a video game… That makes someone feel unsafe if it is absent.
It’s not that I don’t like you, or that I don’t respect you, it’s that the ideas of identity politics are absurd.
I’m glad at least that you were bold enough to admit it is political and commend you for not trying to pretend something else.
Blizzard would never admit a political motivation in this, and I honestly don’t believe that is their reason, they just want to add customization…
However, many many players are using this added customization to bully others with politically motivated social constructs.

Well ofcourse its political and im glad we could discuss this respectfully and sure people can be a bit militant about it
As a scientist you should know there’s no such thing as a ‘sub race’. Perhaps you meant subspecies, which is a specific taxonomical designation to differentiate typically geographically disparate members of the same species. Brown bears come to mind.

Does it matter what skin color they have? All humans are just going to end up as pavement for the second path of glory anyway.
Case IN point. It’s case IN point.
Please, for the love of all that is holy and unholy, learn the phrases you’re using.
You say “case AND point” which would indicate two seperate items. This is incorrect.
Whereas case in point indicates that what you’ve quoted does just that: makes your case in a single point.
Source? I would bet MONEY that despite a lack of available skintones, WoW had always had “people of color” i.e. people playing to one degree or another.
I wouldn’t even go that far, humans have always had 4 shades of ‘darker’ skin tones, from olive to black. Anyone making a stink about this from either side is just shirtposting or bottoming out several standard deviations below average on the IQ bell curve.

I think you’re just mad because I’m a human rouge, waiting with baited breath to quote me.
You got another think coming. You done messed up, a errand.
Dear Bliz,
Add a color/shade wheel & slider for all character customization options (skin, hair, eyes, tusks, etc.).
