Oscars, Emmys, and Golden Globes not going to the best show, but the best representation of latest buzz some sort of “rights” for some section of population…Gods is there a fun movie out there that isn’t that, or some dystopian world, or teens with magic - or a variation thereof?

Absolutely. I used to like the Oscars the most since I always had that dim-lit dream of being an actor but man those last few years alone… even admitting that I disliked a movie per se, I would at least see like, ‘‘shoot, this person deserves the win, or this movie was just much better done’’ but then it’s the ‘obvious’ choice that wins. It’s kinda infected all areas of entertainment now. It’s a real shame.

The Oscar’s always have had a political slant, but never this obvious! At least it never seemed to bleed over to the Golden Globes or even Emmy’s that much. Now? Yikes…I’m a proactive, equal rights, lean slightly liberal but I’m just gonna say it without much fear (that I have to worry in the first place is a bad sign,) but if I see one more blacks rights, gay (sry - LGBT…Q?) Or womans world nomination win over a better movie I will puke!!!

Way too obvious. I appreciated at least the relaxed joking nature the older awards shows had but also that leaned more into giving people that deserved the award more times than not.
It’s insane that we’ve gotten to this point in our world that it’s how a lot of people feel. It shows how very wrong the overall ‘norm’ is - when people need to triple check what they want to say, or worry or what have you. Not to mention censorship on even the basic of statements that carry zero meaning yet it somehow crosses a line.
Where does one find a demeter, artemis, like yourself… Your husband met a gem. I feel like even if I ventured through Hades, I’d still find someone who has updated their moral compass and would make me regret even the first hour of the date [lol]
