Bronze Celebration Token Changes Incoming -- October 29

Blizard finally moving up from the bronze towards the gold.

I must be dreaming actual changes that help players

and with this change, I went from planning to ‘grab 3 sets and done’ to ‘gonna collect all the things’.

Thank you for this. The acquisition rates in place right now have been painfully and alarmingly low, leaving the sense there is no room for making up missed opportunities. In addition, the method(s) of acquiring the celebration tokens have been both unclear and bug-ridden, worsening the perception of the event. This goes such a long way towards improving sentiment for many of us.

And this sentiment is why they’ll never (nor should) listen to forum randoms.

Y’all will whine regardless, as is evident by…this.

Well, I’m still not happy about the high initial cost of the T2 sets… but this does help take the edge off, making it a fair bit more tolerable.

EDIT:

TAKING IT ALL BACK.

Seems the events in Tanaris - which is more or less what I’m limited to thanks to NOT having TWW - is still awarding only a pitiful amount of tokens. I might be able to get a T2 set this week, provided I do everything plus whatever gets added to the “customer relations” questline.

… but yeah, I’m back to being annoyed at Blizz again for more stupid decisions that feel spiteful.

But as many have pointed out, releasing stuff in an unacceptable state then fixing it later? The pattern has not just been noticed, but is also expected. That is not a good thing. If there was no uproar about the painfully slow rate these items were obtained, would have they changed? I have my doubts.

But sooner or later, there will be no uproar.
Just players seeing the same pattern – again – and them moving toward the door in silence.

Been having fun this week. You can try to gatekeep entertainment with ad hominem, but that never works out.

Hey Blizz, now imagine if you had just done this from the start instead of generating a weeks worth of bad will beforehand.

create the problem, sell the solution
if anything this just accumulates a small amount of goodwill that doesn’t offset the amount they’ve been consistently losing and continue to lose

I spent all day in Delves today. How many candles can I candle now that the change to candles has been made? Can I collect all the candles?

Candle.

Cool. Can you guys also please undo the massive damage you just did to Timewalking?

Glad to see you listening to feedback, but you straight up just killed one of my (and others) all-time favorite parts of the game to needlessly balance a low-stakes event. After 9 years. Like… how are you going to kill the old world for your 20th anniversary? Really?!

I frequently agree with even your more controversial changes, but you guys have lost the plot on this one. You’ve effectively destroyed a niche but robust community of people having fun in your game over what? Timewalking being a little kooky hurts no one.

The funny thing here, is that most of the people enjoying the event arent the forum visiting type and are likely thrilled for these changes.

I on the other hand am furious I wasted 3 hours doing these chores yesterday when I could have just skipped them and gotten enough tokens next week anyway

Oh well, it’s their call. Hopefully they dont regret it around thanksgiving when people will be rage posting about there being zero content and that blizz hates the players because they buffed affliction locks or something.

Blizzard shooting like Bronny James.

Probably doesn’t matter for you with 30k achievements, but you can still farm Time walking Badge weekly with alts

Finally POG

WTF… now everyone will have everything… things are not cool or special if everyone has it…

well, at least I’m going to be able to unsub earlier until 11.1

This is literally the result of the forum uproar.

They did screw up, and this is them fixing a problem of their own design.

You have to imagine the forum feedback never reaches the boss’ ears.

So some spreadsheet monster pushes these ideas out then looks at their dashboard and says - why are we not seeing engagement!?

Lather… rinse… repeat.

Scrolled through a bunch of comments to find a confirmation, but didn’t see anything. The post is suspiciously worded where the first 2 lines for Dornogal Weekly and Bonus Holiday say 10 Bronze tokens. But then the other ones say 8 Bronze tokens EACH. Does that mean the Dornogal weeklies are 10 tokens total?
