Classic is alt friendly by simply having close to no end game content at all.
Because this:
is a straight lie.
They still have a purpose or nobody would do them. The fact that rewards wonât be relevant next xpac hasnât stopped many people in WoWâs 15 years.
Most modern WoW grinds PALE in comparison to the horrific ones in Classic like R14, by the way.
Citation needed.
The old devs were wise to design old WoW with purpose which is why BFA multiple grinds fail the test of MMORPG design.
And this is where I know you lost the argument.
It doesnât matter if you keep calling me a liar because frankly that is the truth. That is why the old devs had designed the greatest MMORPG in the history of the world because it was very elegant in design.
You mean like how they got rid of the X resistance grind after it turned out to be a bad idea to have gear that wasnt your BISâŚabsolutely required to go through a raid.
Because if you honestly think that you didnt need to grind multiple things to keep relevant in Classic, you either arent up to contentâŚor you are just lying to sound smart.
If you disagree, tell me what grinds were required to maintain to current content in Classic WoW with each raid.
You are literally saying âitâs the greatest because itâs so good.â
You canât provide anything of substance to support your arguments. What makes it âvery elegant?â What makes these grinds ânot punishingâ while BfAâs are?
I donât think that is bad design for end game content if it is handled in an elegant manner.
It wasnt handled well at all, thats why it doesnt exist anymore.
I think I fell outta love with the mmo genre years ago. I just play for social aspects.
I donât agree with your premise because it is based on your bias.
You dont agree that the grind of resistence gear was bad and it overall failed? Thats pretty biased on your end dude.
Mans wants to talk about âbiasâ when heâs swooning over Classic WoWâs âelegantâ grinds in here lmao
If you did the resist gear grind on your main, does it unlock for all your alts ? ![]()
I think there should be a progression system and I donât think they should move away from that for alts. But I also think that when a character hits the cap for a daily/weekly resources like AP or Coalescing Visions that the extra goes into a pool that your alts can use till they hit cap.
Gear for me goes white (common), green (uncommon), blue (rare), purple (epic), orange (Legendary), and finally sets . Sets I rank higher because as a combined set it should have more power then a single Legendary but a single Legendary will have better stats then a single item of same slot even a set item.
World content, easiest to hardest, is open world, dungeon, raid, Mythic+. I rank Mythic+ higher then raids because I see Mythic+ as a raid for 5 and it continues to increase in difficulty where as raids have a 10 and 25 man (why no 40 man?) but it doesnât continue to increase in difficulty. Never did a Mythic+ so I could be wrong.
Gear should progress as should your content. Open World gear should never be better then dungeon gear and dungeon gear should never be as good as raid gear, etc⌠The best any of those could be is the bottom tier of the higher up difficulty so you can get into them and start collecting the better gear.
I think alts should feed off of the scraps of mains even though all I have are alts and no main. I enjoy gear more when I work for it or I get a lucky, not to be confused with stupid RNG, drop that is better then what I have. In Classic it is when you get your first green and you freak out because they arenât just raining from the sky.
To each their own.
No that isnât biased.
Biased is your faulty premise.
8 hours later, and thats the response you came up with?
Sad.
I didnât realize I had a personal stalker but okay!
