The only people with an issue with it are those whose egos cant handle being beaten by someone elese.
Everyone else seems to enjoy a bit tougher competition. If twinks were only 20% stronger nobody would have an issue, but Blizzard just cant keep up with all of the old content they’ve left to rot.
So here’s the thing; if you’re right and twinks just want straight up fights against other twinks then what you’re arguing for is a level playing field…which twinks make impossible when a non-twink enters the BG. So you don’t really want stand-up even-odds fights, you want the dubious thrill of crushing some poor non-twinked player who dared to enter your stomping grounds.
A level playing field is the OPPOSITE of what twinks want. Twinks want there to be an effort put into gearing. If we wanted an even playing field we’d be advocating for templates, which are completly anathema to the whole reason of twinking.
There are many different levels of twinking. For example, I played against a 5 man team of 60 twinks on my 69 twink shaman. I went 34-6 killing them the entire game. I also played against a few 69 twinks and got whooped because I solo queued. Thats the life I chose and thats my fault for queueing alone.
Trying to understand twinking is not possible unless you’ve done it yourself and have found yourself saving a team from certain defeat. I’ve been told by IRL friends that twinks only play to prey on the weak. They changed their minds when I actually showed them what twink gameplay was like.
Sounds like you arent trying hard enough. Ran into 19 twinks on my way to 110 after the separation (exploiters). Beat them all down and left with 90% winrate.
Twinks are easy to beat. 5 man premade twinks arent.
I would say that you have to thank all those that sold Freehold boost for why now you are not able to enjoy twinking now. The unintended consequences of a few are why you are no longer able to enjoy the part of the game that seem like many do enjoy.
World content should matter, leveling should matter, if people do not want to grind through the questing content, then grind to your hearts content through dungeons, battlegrounds (the right way), not taking advantage of the scaling and all the other nonsense that was used in the Freehold boosting mess.
It is sad some people have to pay for the what other people choose to do to circumvent the content of the game. I have no problem with Blizzard fixing this issue. I am not sure if this was the only way they could fix the problem or have tried to fix the problem and not being able to come up with a solution and having to rely on this fix to remedy the problem. Either way, the problem is not going to be a problem, at least not until someone figures out away around this fix.
Twinks are basically low level pvp bulllies who just like killing new player pvp experiences, being honest I don’t think it should have ever happened and it could slightly help with max level bg ques.
