This is a petition to blizzard to bring back Strands of the Ancients. They removed this bg from the pool years ago for a reason I do not know.
I am tired of isle of conquest. It is a terrible bg. Then we have WG, Ashran, and AV. Need more epic bg’s guys. WoD was the last time we got something and it wasnt even considered a BG then.
So lets bring back strands of the ancients and make a new epic bg.
The reason is that it was the most blacklisted.
Well you cant do that anymore.
Which is why we don’t want it back, because people would just /afk it like they do with Wintergrasp offense.

The devs won’t bring back strand because they know people will go completely out of their minds with the premades everywhere… So not only do you get creamed once by the premades, but TWICE in strand; once on attack ship landing on beach and then on defense… Casual pvpers who run epics would probably just uninstall the game at that point. it would be like being forced to lose two SR Wintergrasp team fights every time you were in strand… Literally two, fresh SR team fight rollings per game in strand 20 minutes apart… People would just be like __________ this game. Imagine being ROLLED at SR by a premade on offense, and instead of them just taking the demos to the wall and the entire thing being over in 4 minutes, you would be forced to again, 20 minutes later be rolled by the premade at SR for a 2nd time… lol… With the ship literally bringing you into your inevitable rolling on the beach with no where to hide. 
Yea, no one’s going to go for that… It’s going to make casual pvpers go postal and uninstall. It would be an AFK calamity disaster every single game there was a premade in there… It would be like the premade is on Wintergrasp defense, and you run down to SR, get wasted and let them chase you around for 30 minutes farming you and THEN, you’d be on defense and again meeting at SR getting ROLLED again by the premade… 
total laughable, hour long nightmare… You’d be begging for Wintergrasp…
Its like, in Tarren Mill Terror, when the horde have the ally pushed all the way back into their town and they’re sitting on their rez/dock getting farmed and wasted… Thats how it would be in strand… The premade would all be waiting at that dock (strand beach) for the ship full of pugs to show up and get annihilated… The AFKs while on the ship would be unreal… probably have 30 people dip every time… the other 10 would have jumped off the ship and be AFK way out in the water to avoid the onslaught… it would be a total mess. Imagine being that ally team, on that Tarren Mill dock getting farmed for 15 minutes and every ally player is going – “You know, were going to have to do this all a 2nd time in 15 minutes. The ship is going to bring us right back to this dock to get farmed & slaughtered by the premade for another 20 minutes a 2nd time.” – ROFL!! Not happening… Casual, epic pvpers would lose their minds.
The only GOOD thing about bringing strand back, is that farming honor in strand would be insane… So many of the premades would que for it all the time keeping them out of regular epic maps… Plus it would be the ultimate in rolling pugs who’re being brought to you on a silver platter by the ship… sitting ducks waiting to be mowed down for 20 minutes with no where to run… The premades wouldn’t be able to help themselves; they’d be queing for it nonstop…
well no it has a design that can be frustrating and stressful if you are attacking on the second round because of the time designed into the bg plus isle of conquest is fun on both factions. strand of the ancients like WG and isle of conquest is from wrath era and players has mixed feeling about them plus strand of the ancients wouldn’t work for battle ground blitz
I feel Strand of the Anciets could be a nice Epic BG or at least a Brawl, so we can have it back once in a while. That way it’d never get into Blitz map pool (and not even all Random BGs are in Blitz, like Seething Shore).
No PvP Content should be ever deleted, especially if it is optional and non ranked.

I’d run it. It would at least be something different. It wasn’t any worse than current Wintergrasp. I guess that isn’t much of an case to readd it though.
I forgot about that map OP, I miss that one, I always thought it was fun!
