I always liked the stat reforge system, being able to change a little too much of 1 stat into another. Not sure why they removed this.

Yes that i can understand but still the system would work if your looking for more crit and can spare some haste. or any stat is that situation.

As I recall, the official reason was that they wanted players to be able to instantly see if a drop was an upgrade without hoarding everything until they got to a reforger.

I always liked it as well. Was nice being able to tweak any piece of loot to make it better, even if only slightly.

Ok, but look how many ppl still hoard gear in there bags. i know i have a a few piece that i switch through based on other pieces of gear. and i see streamers all the time with tons of gear in there bags, yes some are for spec changing but still gear is still hoarded in bags

Imo they removed it for the same reason they removed flying. Make us play longer. It always comes back to that.
No reforge means more grinding for the bis item with those perfect stats. If I can reforge to stats I want I don’t need to run stuff tons of times and pray for rng.
Or maybe they accidentally deleted it from the game

NO – you get the ILLUSION of choice. There is always one best way to forge.

Not really. Unless they changed their stance, they said they wanted you to be able to use the upgrades when you got them. Instead having to go back to town and using the stat reforge first

Please bring it back Blizzard. It helps with the disappointment of not getting an optimal piece of gear. It was a great addition to the game.
It wasn’t supposed to be fun. It was supposed to assist you in stat management.
