I still encounter the occasional blockhead who “has to” hearth out to upgrade the piece they just got.
Should we get rid of item upgrades too, for that reason?
Going maximal extension on that, get rid of sockets/enchants as well, as most people I know don’t carry a full spare set on them for when an upgrade drops.

Just go back to putting upgrade NPCs inside of the raid (Like they did in DF)
They should just release a customizable vendor mount.
They already have the bones for it. Literally a yak or something with sides you can pick like changing the saddle on your DF drake.
Barber, tmog, repair, ah, general store, etc.
Pick 2 and change it at any time in town.
