How does this not change anything? 40 items for 20 people in a PL environment meant that everybody was able to get something between 1 and 3 items - and that happened. That’s mathematically correct, possible and I’ve never seen it happen otherwise. Not in 3 expansions with PL. Never happened to myself, never happened to anybody in my organized raid group.
But I’ve seen it countless times during DF that some people walked out with 8 items or several items from one boss and several people got nothing.
I guess you’re mixing it up with “Not getting a single item I wanted to use”. That was the most common complaint, that someone got an item but was unsatisfied with the stats for example.
In LfR personal loot be better for sure. In my experience when I used to run LFR before I would always get a piece of gear at least from one boss. If I run all bosses ofc. So far I just go one roll that I won and 3 toons.
As well you have a chance with personal loot to get one item per boss. I’ve seen so many times people rolling and winning multiple items. Even the ones they wanted for transmog
LOL Master loot is the worse. There is always at least once (most like more than a few times)where you get screw over it. THE RL might give loot to who he likes or his friends, or takes all hte loot and logoff. That’s why blizzard stop master loot since it creates too much hassle.
Having you decide if you want to roll need or greed or mog and then having RNG decide if you get the loot is the most fair way to do it.
Imo those are the only people cheering for GL and view it as the superior system, because they already made a profit with it and were able to grab an unfair amount of items.
Gotta agree with your sarcasm. I don’t remember ever going a week with literally 0 loot drops with PL. Lots of weeks with useless loot drops, never 0 loot.
Group loot on the other had…I have definitely gone weeks without loot.
Need before Greed problems: Doesn’t clearly explain you have to select your main specialization to get a bonus roll or your roll for loot you Need on will be MUCH lower.
I didn’t say it wasn’t. Personal loot is simplified gambling yes or no without you having to do anything. Game gives you a percent chance to get a random item from boss. So basically it’s a yes or no.
Group loot first drops few items for the whole group then we gamble for it. Meaning that one person can grab multiple items which is my issue.
