And I’m sure they’re still being created “my gm kicked me because I wouldn’t give up my PL!”
Most people in this game can barely wipe their own butts.

Personal loot is just better all around. No more worrying about ninjas. Even in the best case scenario, and a GM would punish a ninja looter, the other players that helped get that loot would never see anything anyway. It’s just far more relaxing not to have to worry about that.
Personal loot is fair and unbiased.
Also, let’s be real, “just find a personal loot guild” doesn’t work. There were so few of those and there was never any guarantee that they wouldn’t just pull a switcharoo and go to master loot anyway.
And yes, even bad players deserve loot if they were trying their best.
Not even sure why you are discussing this with me because I already stated I support ML in only one scenario: 100% guild groups!
PL is also boring and broken.
Why can I not trade a 470 staff if I have a 470 dagger? Why can I not trade a 470 healer trinket if I have a 470 tank trinket?
Well, I agree there, so
Who knows, they could be upgrades. I prefer that scenario than what existed previously.
In most cases you should be able to trade your loot.
My guild was ML and was using EPGP which is totally unbiased and rewarded participation over performance. It’s as neutral as one can get.
Those supposed tickets and guilds somehow abusing ML (and still prospering…?) are just a boogeyman to make everyone slower with PL. If PL was superior, the guilds would have changed by themselves but it wasn’t.
And pugs was still an entirely valid option since, yep, PL was already forced.
PL is superior, it’s just that players prefer to have power wherever they could and went master loot, even guilds that didn’t need to. I don’t raid much mythic, never did, but heroic is my endgame goal and I’ve been in tons of guilds that pretended they were mythic guilds by copying their methods.
My guild was using EPGP which is as neutral as t can be, and we STILL prefered it to PL because PL is totally random and doesn’t let you trade with someone that needs it a lot more.
It’s because you have to have the exact type to be able to trade, it’s a broken system.
You can’t trade 2handers if you only have 1 handers, and you can’t trade trinkets unless you have one for that role.
All of those scenarios where you can’t trade pieces of gear to others are fewer and less of a pain than all of the many more victims who did get screwed over by ninja’ing master looters. What about them?
I will back this guy, you could change all you wanted, most were corrupt. A handful of people made the decision and it was often skewed. I assume you were the council by your attitude so you never got shafted.
They had enough complaints, even from higher end guilds over ninjaing, you not ever seeing it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
Master loot sucked, imagine having a loot council give away BiS pieces to awful dps to “even out” the dps gap, so yeah you’d be carrying a fight trying super hard for billy whos lowest dps to get a piece or bobs girlfriend whos being carried. Nice.
Because I believe the number of guilds with “ninjaing” master looters are horribly over exaggerated. I believe the majority of peoples complaints most likely came from misunderstanding loot rules like no loot for trial members or loot priorities.
And then flush down the toilet even harder!
No they aren’t. Blizzard actually addressed it.
Something that I think needs to remain buried in the ashes of history.
The fact that you have to say that means you don’t realize why it was a thing.
You don’t know if that person is going to fit with the guild, or if they’re going to bug out after a week. That’s why you don’t get loot as trial.
After your trial you generally get showered with every piece though.
So they aren’t entitled to gear when they put in equal work? Yeah I see how your work.
Trials are mostly getting carried through content, I’ve been through many myself. You get brought in for farm and they have a member come in for progression.
