Brewmaster changes I would love to see in Midnight

Brew is great. I would however like to point out a few things now, because there is no better time than before a new Expansion. These are some changes I would love to see implemented in order to streamline Brew without losing the typical charm of brew.

1. SCK. We use it only for the gather. It is an Iconic Monk ability, but especially the Brew tree has very limited interaction with SCK. It seems like a forgotten Child. My suggestion here would be to either make our tree interaction better with it OR (and this is my favorite) combine it with Tiger Palm. In the class tree instead of giving us Stagger make it that SCK is no longer usable and triggers whenever you press TP. This would make it one button less, which we typically only use for the initial aggro on a gather.

2. CJL. It still is not instant for Brews, which makes it very annoying to use as a range tool. Rework Jade Flash to make it instant. Also, I would like a change that Jadeflash Buffs our CJL to fork and be instant, but not replace it entirely. This would mean we could still use CJL like normal, but it would be buffed every 60 seconds.

The better Option would be to replace CJL with something that makes gameplay as a brew more fluent. Stopping mid gather only for a pulling tool with minimal aggro is hindering the flow of the specc, which is usually fast paced and mobile.

3. Buff the AOE DMG range on Keg smash. More often than not this is the culprit of many aggro issues. People think they hit the whole pack but only hit a few mobs to the side half the pack received no dmg and then the wonder if brew aggro is buggy.

4. Mighty Stomp. Many people want more utilty/ CC as a Brew, which mighty Stomp delivers, but it is implemented in such a way, that it is janky to use and even only useable while we have our big CD running, which lead to many people not taking it.

5. Kick. Give us the Option for a ranged kick. With the rising importance of kicks it would be nice to be able to kick, even when we decide to chain the pull and move away or need to kite. Not being in Melee is punishing enough, because we don’t do dmg then, BUT also not being able to kick and potentially wipe the group is even more tragic. It would also help with gathering mobs. I don’t want to ping the one caster which is outside the pack a few dozen times till someone kicks it anymore.

6. Our Specc tree seems very big and convoluted. Row 5 and 7 have each 7 talents. I would love to take a few more options and test them out, but many points are locked in already. I would love to have Hight tolerance AND Anvil and stave as a 1 point talent, which would open up more flex points (maybe even Walk with the Ox? ). Maybe even consider to combine some things make it a bit more straightforward, which would allow for more niche things like adding an interrupt effect on Jade flash (second node) or similar things.

7. Alternetively you can also remove/ combine nodes that are not exciting, even if they are strong like: Improved Blackout kick, Elusive footwork, Pretense of Instability, Counterstrike, Keg Volley, Heart of the Ox.

8. Wit the removal of 2 Def cds (DM and DH) I would like to have two charges of CB/ CI as Shadopan aswell.
