I received mine my first run when I wanted to check off killing Direbrew for my adventure log. I had no idea it was so rare, my condolences.
If it’s any consolation, you likely don’t need to be doing 20+ runs a day, since they changed how holiday drops work iirc where it’s only the high chance to get it on the first kill per account per day.
Yup. Wowhead says .4%. Point four percent. Even the ram and kodo have a drop rate of 2%. Hell, even Invincible’s Reins have a higher drop rate. This is insane for a holiday item, especially one no one will give a crap about next year when we’ve moved on from dragonriding, or more mounts are opened up for dragonriding. This was the only time this item could have been fun for a large part of the playerbase and they lock it behind a . 4 % drop rate.
I assume this is across all runs? Does it say what the drop percentage is on the first run of the day per account? Because it sure seems like lots of folks have gotten it on the first drop.
381 out of 107580 boss kills says wowhead. I’m actually kind of shocked I got one because I didn’t even do the boss every day, and only 1 time per day at that.
I luckily got mine, but there is no reason this should be such a low droprate. Its not a mount, its not a pet, its not a toy. Its a skin thats barely noticable on 1 mount.
I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I’m almost, almost convinced they flag some of us as useful chumps who can’t get the drop but help keep the queues short.
I’m sorry to hear that. I probably did like 5 runs before I got the saddle. And tbh…it’s not like I even wanted it or care for it, so I feel a bit bad.
It’s just a barrel on a saddle. It’s not worth much to me. Running it casually. If it drops, it does. I don’t expect any of these new customizations to drop until long after I’m off this earth, lol.
