I like the beer festival vibe. Beer and alcohol has helped humanity. Just because some people can’t be responsible with it doesn’t mean others can’t enjoy stuff like alcohol. Everything should be taken with moderation.
One pet cause at a time. It promotes drinking and riding, so unless you have a dragon in your back yard I think we are ok. Also fake drinking causes you to get drunk in life? Maybe talk about that with your physician.
I love the Wolpertinger. The fact that they brought them back in that one Legion WQ (spoiler; involves heavy drinking) makes me love them more.
Don’t forget you ride on a ram through major cities with plenty of pedestrians.
I saw a Dodge Ram the other day.
I’m of the opinion that your proposed ‘Keg Mount’ be the only mount that can be driven correctly while utterly smashed. It would drive horribly while sober.
As for the original purpose of this thread, I entirely agree. Brewfest is one of the best all around events in this game, right up there with Hallows End and Winter Veil in terms of things to do, items to collect and achievements to acquire…but most especially, the gathering together of players of like mind, simply looking to have fun.
That’s why it’s such a shame that Blizzard is allowing fear of the public being reminded of their alcohol-induced misdeeds to make them fainthearted about the event, so that they are doing nothing about fixing the bugs currently infesting Brewfest events and activities. A quick perusal of the bug report forums shows a dozen or so threads concerning unresolved problems. When the sausage-eating contest was bugged last year, they had it corrected by the very next day.
There are no trucks in WoW other than that one video so I think you are safe.
As for the story line parts of it and some of the mini games, it holds true to a time of trying to bring us all together. A moment of time that we can just relax.
I can’t say I like all the content as I don’t think we should be able to wipe C.D. like we are doing and get crap for it. I would like him tuned up like in the past where we could easily wipe if you are not paying attention and move the Ilvl up past timewalking. Once you see the little fair grounds near you and you have the mounts, I find the content not worth doing anymore. “Its kinda of been there done that. Whats new this year?” The seasonal chance to test yourself and “Save” the day by getting the stolen brew back is gone.
Story is great.
Content is not all that it was…
Being half robot I fully support all alcoholic holidays. Alcohol keeps my fuel cells activated.
Brewfest isn’t toxic or bad for the game
I’ll take things we shouldn’t have to say, Alex.
Brewfest is all about alcohol, and alcohol is literally toxic to you.
“But officer, I can do it in world of Warcraft.”
Goes to jail and sues Blizzard.
That how you see this going down dude?
When you have a generation of people who came of age through this game, the messaging is important.
Again, if you can’t make a distinction between a fantasy video game, and real life, you’ve got far greater problems Blizzard isn’t qualified to fix.
Perhaps their parents should do a better job of rearing them, rather than sitting them down in front of a computer to let it do the duty for them?
How do you know that’s the case
How many races are marginalized and oppressed to do festivals like this?? Where are the troll-related festivals celebrated?? This dwarf privilege must be stopped! Think of the disparities!!
You just insinuated it.
I was was 16 or 17 when this game came out and brewfest was there. And the message is not what blizzard needs to worry about. Its the parents job to raise their kids. If you don’t like the rating the game has post by the ESRB, don’t let your kids play it. I never drank because of this game or its content
No that’s what you inferred
Thank you for your anecdote
