Brewfest has been a pretty terrible experience

Doing any of the quests, especially around Ironforge, is rough. The fact that it’s crowded is one thing, but a couple of those quests have you competing with others for quest objectives. Normally, that wouldn’t be a problem, even with the crowds. Been playing since Naxxramas’ launch back in Vanilla. Crowds and waiting for respawns is old hat; annoying, but I have patience.

The issue has been the server lag. The terrible, unrelenting server lag. Every event is made worse by it. Killing the hozen? Maybe, if you can get a spell or weapon hit on.

Rolling the barrels? Sometimes the obstacles spawn in the road before they’re actually rendered in. Like…a long time before.

The bubble catch? Ever try to skyride when pressing a key is a lottery whether it’ll respond in under three seconds?

Hows about that setup quest to brew beer, make pretzels and stir soup? Making the pretzels and the soup isn’t too tough, but tossing hops into the beer? Good luck. Again, it’s a lottery whether or not hitting the button causes it to respond in a timely fashion, let alone releasing it.

Don’t even get me started on the dumpster fire that is the banquet event.

I’ve been fairly committed to getting that Dark Iron set - it looks good, and I’ve got the perfect character to wear it - but the server lag is so atrocious it’s testing my sanity.

Maybe it’s a function of the server I’m on. Moon Guard is a crowded place. I can’t imagine how bad it is on Illidan or other similar servers.

But this needs fixing. It’s pretty bad, and it’s made the event very un-fun.

Turn on Warmode.

You’re welcome.

The last world event I did was the Easter one. I don’t really care for most of the rewards.

That’s a workaround, not a fix. And a risky one for someone with zero interest in PvP.

Well the “fix” is to shard the heck out of the area because having more than 40 people on the screen at once causes the servers to meltdown, otherwise it’s Blizzard getting new servers lol.

So your options are hope Blizzard cares enough to shard an area for a temporary event, or you can deal with it and/or turn on Warmode.

I thought this was about the disappoitning Corin Direbrew once-daily fight.
I haven’t gotten anything but tokens so far. Sadge.

Both those options are fantastic. Let’s do those! At the very least, it’ll keep PvP gremlins from suggesting solutions they know is unacceptable to those who don’t want to engage with that aspect of the game.

It looked like I got sharded during the event earlier today. No rewards, though the bar was full before sharding. No boss spawned, just a bunch of angry players standing around.

Alt-hop and collect the 40 coins from the Direbrew instance, do the mug-shooting at the entrance (Alliance) and you collect around 60-65 per character. Through this method I progressed this month’s trading post from 0 to 1000 within two hours as well.

I have still +40 characters to do and will collect most of the new items this way.

This will be the third time ive seen this thread title, say to myself “Ah crud I gotta go do that”.

So use normal flying?

warmode is a fantastic solution for dealing with an area having too many players though, and I say that as someone who does not pvp.

You shouldn’t have to.

This is the only one on your list that I’ve actually experienced with any regularity…and then it’s only because the route has you going through the transition between Ironforge and Dun Morogh. There’s almost always lag between zones like that.

For the others…stop trying to do them on the hour when the main event is going on. Otherwise, you may need to look into upgrading your pc, or something.

I only get two daily quests there, yeah the holiday is screwed lol

Sounds like the OP just needs a less-populated server, or a better PC.

I think the only quests listed as dailies are the bubbles, barrel roll, and ram riding. If you’re trying to farm coins, the best way is to just have a ton of alts doing the one-time stuff.

I have an R7 9800X3D, 32 gigs of RAM, a 2TB SSD, and an RX 7800XT. My PC is not the problem. It’s a server lag issue.

As someone that plays Horde Moon Guard…

Is it? Is it actually risky? Come on, dude.

Btw, I just logged in and I’m the only person I can see in Org right now. SUCH RISK

Then it’s your settings. You might want to turn down things like ground clutter and spell effects to reduce visual lag. I know it sucks when we should be running this game with no issues, but small tweaks like this helps.
