So yeah we can’t know because knowing the numbers and our low chance wouldn’t make for a fun experience lol
I did 84 kills a day, and got it on I believe the 4th day on my first kill of the day. So take that with a grain of salt, but it’s what happened for me.
was that the little glyph thing that I got the first time I did Corben Direbrew this year? I tried to destroy it but the game wouldn’t let me. I don’t even have DF yet, but did do the free weekend a few months back, so maybe that’s why it dropped for me.

It’s unfortunate they won’t divulge the drop rates at play. When people think of the word “hint” they think of someone solving a puzzle or following clues to reveal a mystery. Wowhead gives hints to all sorts of actual little puzzles or mysteries with ease, and Blizzard themselves point people there.
Knowing the drop rates here wouldn’t be a “hint” the way people think of the word, it’d just be a courtesy.
First off, Love rocket is NOT like any other mount. It was a 1 in 3000 chance of a drop. After … what… a dozen years or so, they made the change to the FIRST kill per account to be the “normal” drop chance of 1% to match all the other world event drops. The subsequent attempts on each day per account are all the stupidly low original %.
if Blizzard is doing that for this skin I personally think it’s ridiculous, and in this case , UNLIKELY. Just because a flag exists to track the first kill of the day per account does NOT MEAN that the flag is being checked for this mount. It was added for the Love Rocket probably in a general mount class object. In the case of Love Rocket instance, it’s checked. In the case of this skin for a dragonriding mount, it’s likely NOT checked. Lots of people have gotten it on subsequent kills.
And lastly, you can bet MANY druids will be going back to flight form. I certainly WILL BE. But you’re all being silly here too. Why must it be ONE or the OTHER? I will definitely also be using dragonriding when I have to quickly get to the other side of the zone for a crate or a rare. But mostly I will be in flight form because I can do so much more in that form and that saves me time. It also allows me to go get a glass or water or go take a bio and still be FLYING… Just point myself in a direction and when I get back to the office I will be where I need to be. I can’t go afk and still be flying with dragonriding - its SO ANNOYING. With regular flying mounts, I can also hover above a rare spawn point while waiting for it to spawn while I do something else and not aggro any mobs while I wait to it to spawn - oh how I miss that!
So feel free to argue… but both sides are wrong … and correct, because both forms of flying are faster or slower in different ways.
No luck until now despite using 5 - 20 rerolls a day.
It’s really exhausting and not fun, who at Blizzard was stupid enough to think that puting a skin behind the RNG is fun?
I will not have it at this rate and i would rather farm the Brewfest currency than depending on an awful RNG that will make me waiting for another year just for a skin tied to the expansion.
I got the skin on my first kill for the holiday. You guys need to step it up.
I did get it to drop today on my hunter. First run of the day, as expected.
So that’s a thing that’s done. I actually don’t hate it on my warrior here, but for all the bother they at the very least should have made it for all the dragon riding mounts.
To add my own anecdotal evidence…
A few days back on my alt Druid, I queued for Coren first out of the two toons eligible. I received the Ram as a drop, to my surprise for the first time account wide. That’s almost 15 years off and on.
Yesterday I queued first on this Lock and received the Kodo, again for the first time account wide. Yay!
So take it as you will, but it does seem to lend some credence to the notion that the “love rocket” rules that many of you much more knowledgeable folks have already been expressing, is likely at play here.
Likewise, I have not yet received the drake skin on either toon and neither toon has received anything more than coins when being the second attempt of the day.
I got a trinket a couple of times but otherwise, coins and loins.

Hopefully this trend continues through Headless Horseman, as I have yet to obtain that mount either…
Definitely agree that a skin that is only up for 2 weeks a year, should be gated by the currency. The love bird is bought with currency and it’s a normal mount , so they have done this in the past for a real mount and a skin is a lesser thing that an actual mount.
I got in on my first kill today.
I didn’t get it even with 10 - 20 rerolls per day, a skin that shouldn’t be put on RNG in the first place: It’s NOT a mount, it’s a skin from an expansion feature and available once a year.
The worst for me: ALL my friends got it but not me like the Tyrael mount from the diablo event!
You can imagine how mad i am to see this happening once again and i have not enough insult toward the RNG addict in the Blizzard team who decided to put this skin behind the RNG.
The day I got it it was my third run of the day, so no, it wasn’t only obtainable on the first run.
