Just to confirm, I just got it today.
What I did:
I queued up in the same Coren Direbrew with 2 accounts I have. When I killed, I first opened the barrel on one of my characters, and I didnât get it.
I opened the second barrel, and I got the mount.
So the tech of queuing up with all accounts you have at same time really does work.
It is an RNG nightmareâŚ

Just got the mount and the drake customization out of the same box. Now I shall go buy a lottery ticket.

Took me 4 tries. Third try I got the dragonriding thing, 4th the mount.
I havenât seen anyone open their bags inside the instance.

it just means you got lucky.
thereâs been a whole bunch of misinformation surrounding this mount drop, and wowhead is the biggest instigator of the misinformation.
people are getting this drop after the first run of the day, so itâs not the âone chance per dayâ as is stated as being âfactualâ by the person who wrote the wowhead article.

Yes, the bad luck protection is a good point, I donât know if there is and how exactly it works, thereâs the possibility that it stacks up with each separate first kill of the day, and since my kills were at the same exact second, I only really got 1 bad luck protection increase per day, making it possible to get it later on in the event for unlucky people who do it once per account.
However, when it comes to the amount of days that passed, itâs a matter of resets in the US vs EU: it dropped for me the day 26 half an hour post reset, which is at 6 a.m. in the EU, and it was possible to do it the day 23, 24, 25 before, and I did, so that seems to be 4 âdaysâ indeed for EU, considering the cache reappears at reset.
And the event started at 7 a.m. the day 23 in the EU.
It canât drop on follow up kills, itâs a waste of time, best thing you can do is do 1 run with 5 accounts together, those all count as âfirst kill of the dayâ, the only one that can drop the mount.
Itâs not just luck, it really does NOT drop on follow-up kills of the day, remember that if you multibox the same coren kill the barrel that can contain the mount appears in your inventory at the same time on all accounts, so they are all counted as first kills of the day.
On wowhead you have a person that did 304 kills already, but look at the case also got it at the first kill of the day 4, itâs not a coincidence.

I swear half my alts got it before my main did.
