There are 2 pieces of functionality that this addon/WA has:
- The ability for addons to see your own gear.
- The ability for addons to communicate with other players.
To break it, Blizzard must break one of those features. Good luck.

The funniest part is then it gave you a quest to pick up pieces of the dead wind chime. 
You can ya know; inspect players in Tbc seeing their gear and even now spec.
As for an addon that links; screw that noise, if theyâre that lazy that they need an addon to do what is already in game then it may be time for them to quit this game.
You just described the UI of 90% of raiders in this game.
Well letâs be fair here⌠without addons to effectively play for them telling them literally when everything takes place and who did what, and when to do their job most of the people playing wouldnât be able to function even in molten core.
I played all of Vanilla without a single raid addon. That crap is not required if youâre not completely terrible.
I do have a couple addons none the less; basically it moves the little tiny buff / debuff icons from the enemy target and my self and puts them into a more easily seen location. Additionally I use an addon that moves the enery bar to a more visible place.
Outside of that; I no longer use addons that provide information that is not provided by the games default UI.
Why do I cripple my self like this?
Because the game is way better this way; IMO I would be willing to play WoW and actually think the game would be better off if the addons capability was eliminated entirely.
My only request would be to be able to customize the buffs / debuffs timers that are provided by the default UI so that I can more easily see that information when playing rather than needing to look away from my target.
IMO the addon situation has actually hurt the game over the years and wounded both PvE and PvP.

Wow thank you I was wracking my brain all morning why hellfire felt like garbage for input lag despite 9ms latency and I think youâve solved it. Itâs not just weekend traffic in a single zone. Itâs all of those people running 10x the addons they did compared to vanilla TBC!
Agree, we donât need crap like this in BC. it doesnât align with the philosophy of TBC and feels like a feature from retail. You wanna see my gear you come inspect me. We gotta boycott this addon.

I had that problem while I was running Puggle. Nice addon, but it lagged when I was in high-traffic areas. I had to uninstall.
Or you can just publically deride people who use it and let the community sort out this âissueâ
What content in TBC atm actually needs this kind of addon? Ive done the hardest heroics with fresh healers and had no issue because gear isnt what matters in this content. So if people need this addon all the power to them, they need to scapegoat others for why they suck and its not something I need to worry about because I make my own groups.
Heroics also are harder than the raids, so you certainly dont need it for raids. These addons dont skill check anyone so its effectively useless.
