If no one is botting, no one would get blocked from AH access.
Also, I’m not an idiot - I can find the source code and scripts online to bot the AH as it seems most current throttling is done by the client.
It also doesn’t take a genius to figure out where the AH bots would set up (out of the way locations in phases like leveling / WM on) and find them on servers.
Sure, Blizzard may be able to detect and eventually ban players that use such bots - but that is after the fact.
My theory (and yeah, just that but it should be tested) is that there are a good number of these bots that if server side throttling was in place, would block them in near real time, and improve the AH (both speed and price) for all.
