Boy I sure do love getting nothing for my time

PvP gets you to 171 easily for weps, crafted gear for 151 to run heroics, and 3 dungeons and no loot and btching is laughable

do some of you yall even want to play the game, or just be given loot and log off due to addiction???

Blame all the people who cried that getting gear was too easy and mythic + ruined heroic raids …

Um…but it does. Why do you think theres such a LONG que because you wait for tanks? Why should I run a dungeon when there is no guarantee I will get something I need for it…

There’s long queues for tanks because people are uncomfortable or don’t wish to tank in WoW.

That is another thing that has been a constant in WoWs life, tanking is role people are too scared to try and realize its not as bad as it seems.

why play a 15 year old RNG game and complain about RNG?

Because there was a better chance to get something you needed in dungeons before this xpac. Especially in Mythic+(yeah not open yet but point being)

I agree and disagree. A guaranteed drop rate is a bit much to ask, but M0 currency that allows people to buy vendor gear to get ready for keys or raids is a reasonable request. I had a good week, I’ll be 180+ most likely at the end of next week but I can fully understand someone who did the same content I did still in the 160’s feeling burned.

When did the playerbase get so entitled it cries over doing a dungeon and not getting a drop?

Something that’s existed since the very first dungeon in vanilla?

Did you also read how mythic raids (and by assumption normal/heroic flex scaling) drops 3 items per boss for 20 people?

Is that 3 max regardless of raid size, or does the loot depend on how many people are in the raid?

Since mythic is fixed at 20 it’s always 3.

It isn’t clear yet on how that will change based on 10-30 scaling, but I think it’s a safe bet it will be 2-4 drops based on 10-30 scaling if 20 drops 3 items.

Using some ā€œreasonableā€ logic it would be 2 drops for 10 man, then each person over 10 adds a 10% chance for an additional item. So a guaranteed 3rd at 20 and a guaranteed 4th at 30.

That is guesswork though.

Yeah I also don’t get it. Like, I did a few dungeons with no rewards this week, but the rewards I did get felt awesome because of the lack in the other runs. When you just get gear thrown at you, gear has less weight to it.

I don’t know about OP, but for me, getting gear in a dungeon is fun, but I play the game to…play the game…with friends. Getting a reward is secondary to the reason I play the game. Its fun. Gear should not be the ONLY reason you queue a dungeon. You should queue a dungeon because its fun and there MIGHT be a reward in it for you in the end. And if there isn’t, run it again, you know, because playing a game…PLAYING a game, is supposed to be fun.

I agree. Gearing so far as been really fun.

And I love I don’t feel obligated to do WQ to gear. I’ve been able to reach 177 off doing dungeons. And i’m excited for reset, because I know once I clear my Mythics ill certainly end the week over the 180+ threshold.

yeah same, I hated the amount of gear that dropped from world quests in previous expacs. Its nice to be able to just grind out dungeons with friends and/or pugs if needbe. I like the lesser amounts of gear drops because the gear drops actually matter and mean I have to play the game.

I’m very unhappy with the loot this expansion. It’s like there’s a total loot drought. I’m in the same boat - the dungeons I’ve run have resulted in nothing for me. I’ve only done a few … but still … something would be nice.

I’m sorry but this just sounds like Stockholm syndrome to me.

I like games like Dark Souls, bloodborne, etc. So idk, maybe I just like a challenge. Call it what you want, I guess.

To me, if your only reason for playing the game (running a dungeon) is soley to get gear, idk what to say. I find the mechanics and the challenge to be the fun part, the gear as a reward is a bonus to the gameplay. The act of the effort of obtaining something is where the fun comes from for me.

I enjoy running a dungeon… but you have to accept that no rewards from the dungeon, which allow me to progress to harder dungeons and mechanics, is adding repetition for the sake of grind. We are going to be running these things a lot as it is.

Getting no loot from the few I’ve done feels bad and disincentivizes further runs.

This time waster has been here for a while, but it seems the main focus of this xpac is to waste as much time as they possibly can.

Quest items seem to have a severely reduced drop rate, WQ are brutal grinds, each zone seems to have at least one stupidly long escort quest. Not to mention ToF and welfare POTD.

Mythic+ is 1 less item than BFA. You’ll be fine, you also get more options from your weekly chest.

Heres a tip.
Make your own group.
Stack as much people with the same armor type as you in it.
Do the instance and get people to trade you loot they dont need
