Yeah but you and I both know your tone implies you don’t think changes are needed. Or maybe you do, do you think changes would be helpful?
Improvements can always be made that would potentially cut down the amount of times this happens. Though regardless of what improvements could be made, purchasing the wrong token item is entirely the player’s own fault. It’s not like the auction house issue where level 80 gear shows up as level 70 gear until you click on it and mouseover it in its individual subsection.
You keep mentioning this being the player’s fault — I agree with you. I think it’s a brutally inefficient system, but if you didn’t read correctly it’s your fault you mistakenly bought the PVE gear in the PVE zone when you were trying to get PVP gear from the vendors that are not stationary and look similar and have similar names and are spoders lmao
People actually use Apple products?
takes literally 2 seconds to verify the item has this at the bottom prior to buying it
Equip: Increases item level to a minimum of 639 in Arenas and Battlegrounds
So yes, if I didn’t read correctly, it’s my fault.
Arguing against stuff that was never said in this thread, like just fabrications out of your mind then going to war against ghosts. No one said “no it’s fine don’t change it” or “it cannot be adjusted or improved upon” how do you even come up with this garbage? Could or should the PvP tier pieces just be bought off the Conq vendor, or the PvP tier vendor itself just be placed with all the other PvP vendors? Sure. Makes more than total sense, but for reasons unknown it isn’t.
OP failed a 3-step process, and that’s on them.
- Purchase an item they don’t actually want (you can still turn back)
- After a period of forced deliberation, confirm they definitely want the item they don’t actually want (you can still turn back)
- Equip the item they don’t actually want (3 strikes ur out)
In no way shape or form is this anyone else’s responsibility. “Oh when I was driving something distracted me and I blew threw a light and smoked the back end of a dump truck. I don’t know whose to blame but it’s anyone other than myself because I made decisions while someone was distracting me and why was that dump truck there anyway I deserve to be absolved.” K /s
No, it’s definitely your fault. I always double check what I’m buying. If you couldn’t even scan over it real quick to see that bottom like text then that’s on you 100%
Ive had the same when i thought I was buying a ring and bought a second neck piece a few seasons ago. Now that it happened you will be sure about what you buy next time. It sucks but it is not game ending.
Zero accountability these days.
It is entirely possible for something to be someone’s fault, but also be changed by the developers to reduce the chance someone makes that same mistake.
PvP gear should be sold from PvP vendors near the other PvP vendors.
There literally wasn’t any easy information on what vendor actually sold the PvP gear for the tokens. All the online comments said were you purchase tier sets at these two NPCs in the city, with no explanation that one had PvE pieces and one had PvP pieces.
In fact, the actual PvP vendor wasn’t even listed anywhere on wowhead or the forums/reddit where I had looked it up. Literally I didn’t know the pvp vendor was a vendor until I just started clicking on NPCs randomly and happened to find one that yes, did sell the PvP tier piece.
I actually went to Dornogal first, looking for a vendor in the PvP area. Silly me to expect PvP gear to be purchased at the PvP area of the expansion.
I didn’t buy the wrong piece, but that doesn’t mean the system was set up well.
Of course now the info is out there, but it wasn’t when I got 1600.
You are absolutely unhinged lmao. What is this undying loyalty to such a bizarre system? It’s okay for (1) it to be the player’s fault and (2) agreeing the system needs an overhaul.
This right here, everyone should agree with this.
The system is fine tbh… They ask you are you sure and you have to check and say YEAH… If you can’t read or double check when the same system has been used for awhile then maybe there’s bigger problems.
Ya I feel like this is going in circles I’m getting tired Why can’t the vendor be located in Dorn near the other PvP vendors? I’m not talking about the “are you sure you want to equip” part
Or, we could go back to not having vendors so people would quit crying because they can’t be bothered to read.
im tapping out idgaf anymore lmao
welp…
nows ur time to go get mythic kerystone master or whatever its called
I think it’d be nice if you could redund purchased stuff like this, I dont see what harm it would cause.
I went full crit arms for PvP thinking I was gonna hit people, turns out I shoulda went haste because I’m a DOT class.
It sucks yes. Did you actively make a mistake. Yes. Did you actively admit to not paying attention while you made said mistake. Yes. Did you click on the box and didn’t look after you literally admitted to changing vendors…yes. there is quite literally not a single thing you did do correctly. This is 100% your fault. There is legit no other way to look at it. Pay attention.
It takes two seconds to read the tooltip.
