"Botters won't use the 58 boost"

The name of the game for bots is quantity over quality. It’s like prey animals breeding vast amounts of young in nature, even if only a few survive it will have been worth it to them. Only here it’s with illegal game currency.

Some people just refuse to acknowledge they were wrong. They’d rather go down with the ship.

I don’t think anyone ever said this

alternatively, read the replies on the thread that i made

You think they’re using their own money? It’s all on stolen credit cards.

Pretty sure the ones in BRD and ZF are farming raw gold… not mats…

We are still waiting on the people who thought that botters would buy the boost to admit they were wrong.

I highly doubt the cost of a boost ruins their profits…

The point really isn’t that it ruins their profits it’s more that they already have so much gold in stock they don’t need more quickly.

Like if you go to the most known website that sells gold they literally have about a billion gold for sale on my server.

And they have acquired that stock way before boost came out

It just doesn’t make sense for them to want to buy the boost when they’re supply is already above the demand for gold.

A very good point

Why, then, would they buy a boost for their one account when they could instead buy 2 extra accounts and run 3 bots at once while saving $10 on the entry cost?

Gold prices on gold selling sites have risen significantly because of people buying gold to pay mages to boost them during prepatch.

That aside, you said previously botters will not be buying 58 boosts, do /who blackrock depths, /who zul’farrak tons of level 58 boosted characters, you were wrong.

So you just assume any 58 doing stuff is a botter?

Confirmation bias much?

A mass amount of level 58s with similar random names, in the same class, all unguilded, in heavily botted dungeons, like blackrock depths is pretty indicative of botters purchasing the 58 boost en mass and using them to farm gold. I don’t mean to be rude but if you cannot see the obvious connection you are being willfully ignorant.

Gold sellers still have millions of gold available, them raising the price is a money grab for tbc coming out.

Go look, the gold is available. They have no reason to boost. It’s entirely possible many of those 58 boosters in ZF and brd are there to farm raw gold as a player or, in the brd case, are trying to get decent gear that isn’t the garbage boosted gear.

I have done zf farming and brd farming before and I’m not a bot. They are decent gold makers if you know what your doing. A d it’s not hard to look at YouTube to find out how to farm gold from them.

Heck with traps usable in combat ZF farming is now much easier for hunters. Brd is also farmable by hunters using a few tricks. Paladins and mages can also do these. Heck boomkin druids and even shamans can do some of these tricks as well.

I saw a lvl 58 BE paladin in brd the other night, gonna tell me that was a booster as well?

Normally i’d say “go online and see for yourself” but just for you Drinknblink, just for you!

I only see 4 names in that list that actually look like bots

According to him, they are all bots. All lvl 58 doing anything is a boosted bot to him.

I regularly saw a handful of bots using /who before the boosts came out in the 56-60 range, he doesn’t even have proof they used rhe boost.

They are propped up by Retail gold.

What they’re doing is farming gold in retail, buying the wow token and converting that to battlnet balance.

The bots farm the gold, the boost is now free.

Surely you don’t imagine every bot to have a random garble of name identifying themselves as a bot? or are you just here to nitpick. If you’re unsure, i’d advise you to /who zul’farrak, find and whisper them and see if they reply.

Looks like a normal and not suspect at all for 20+ people all unguilded with the same class in a zone at level 58. Looks perfectly normal to me (LOL)
