I enjoy the borrowed power. Keeps things fresh and fun for me. How yall push the same buttons on the same specs of the same class year after year without becoming mentally numb will remain a mystery to me.

You’re a ret paladin two extra buttons will not hurt you since the rotation is already simple enough
I don’t mind the borrowed power, I mind losing everything at the start of a new xpac and feeling like trash for more than a year.
That’s the exact opposite definition of fun. It hit so hard after Legion losing the legendaries and the artifact that I just stopped playing.
I also mind that they can’t balance them if their lives depended on it.

They did warn you months before BfA pre patch that your artifact weapons were going to retire after you sacrificed it
The game has lost a sense of permanence. My character hasn’t grown stronger or really grown at all since honestly MoP. WoD did a lot of pruning, and Legion to now has just been more of it. We don’t retain anything of substance on our characters; we’re just borrowing the power of the expansion and giving it back, carrying over nothing and leaving the impression that we didn’t even learn anything from having those powers. It isn’t a good design.

I used to but I enjoy the power gain feeling that leveling brings. This is a psuedo form of this for me.
I agree. I do wish this were better.
If they gave me chain harvest after SL I would say borrowed power okay.
You lost things every expansion. People complained about losing their naxx gear as early as tbc to superior leveling gear.
People complained about talents and abilities being deleted every expansion.
Now people complain about expansion only systems instead.

borrowed power isnt the issue… 3 different types with no attempts at balance by blizzard and arbitrary systems to lock them behind is the issue.

I do remember a lot of people being pissed that the gear from hellfire peninsula being better than 40 man naxx gear

Not a ridiculous argument when they have told us at the beginning of the expansion they will only have artifacts for one expansion
Do you also get upset when some places offer “limited time only” products and let you know months advance in time before they rid of it?
What about during Christmas times they don’t offer Christmas themed products at stores after January? Do you question why?

most people hate the systems tied to them if they hate them at all. fewer people actually hate borrowed power because they disappear after the expac.
i personally like my borrowed powers, but hate the systems.
